THEME POLL

This is just a poll for the upcoming voice acting contest. The choices are the 4 suggested in the last VA3 thread shamanyouranus made, and since no one suggested any other themes....

We can either have ...

Racial Warning Set	Create a series of "warnings" to replace an ingame racial warning set (i.e. "we need more gold", "build more farms" etc)
WC3 Unit Soundset Reduex	Create a custom soundset to replace an existing wc3 model's ingame soundset
Custom Unit Soundset	Create a custom soundset for a model or skin that has been submitted and approved in the Hiveworkshop database
Short Story/Monologue	Create a roughly 5-10 minute short story or monologue. Stories or Monologues would have to pertain to the wc3 universe.(FOR EXAMPLE: It could either be the opening or closing for a pre-existing ingame or fanmade campaign)

I was thinking of going for the monologue, but actually I would like to see what voices people could come up with for those units that lack them.
Doesn't the background music play an important role in many monologues (next to the actual monologue)?

Racial warnings for sure but would it be for custom races (naga, fel Orc, troll, gnoll, goblin) or one of the four default?

it could be any wc3 "race". as in "troll, gnome, dwarf, nerubian, naga, kobold, satyr, etc etc"

It will be pretty lame if soundsets' option comes first, once again. The theme will be recycling all the way. I voted for Monologue. :]

I am one of the persons that chosing hard things: I voted for monologue. Warnings are too simple.

As hard as it may be, monologue's aren't really all that practical, not that many people are browsing this site for it's sound resources anyway (I still think we need a sound resource section), but a monologue is only really useful for one specific instance while many more people can use racial warnings.

I'm not sure how many people are browsing this site for concept art, at least as long as there's no sort of gallery or that sort of thing to vallidify it as a resource

That's actually a very good point, the thought did occur to me the other day. "Does hive have a sound section? Huh? No? Why not!"
