Only problem with JNGP 2 is that they changed the scripting style to suit their own tastes -.-, and it's a major pain to change it back to JNGP 1. The styles also changed to #2 every time you update it, so it's just not even worth using =). Took me like 20 minutes the one time I did it to fix the styles, and then an update came out the next day, so I just stopped using it there =o.

Meh. I learned JASS from hacking (and your save/load system) so im used to it. Also, my multiplayer emulator is broken but the jngp one works fine so i just use it. The only thing thats a pain to me is that it doesn't distinguish BJ from native

Yeah, it can be a bit frustrating to edit manually.

However, there is a quicker way. Just go to the jassnewgenpack206/tesh/ folder (close JNGP), delete Styles.ini, open JNGP, then go to Options -> Font and change the text color from white to black (or default). Then you are good to go.

^that will solve the "modified tastes" then? If so, that's perfect, I'm pretty much hate having to distinguish between BJ and natives.

Anyway, to sum it up, Vjass is a modified version of Jass which break most Jass limits. There's also Cjass, but I don't recommend using it.

Also, always use Vex JassHelper in JNGP, as it can screw up stuff (mainly Vjass) if you choose Cohadar's JassHelper.

Please, elaborate....

He's complaining about TESH looking like Jasscraft, and having to manually configure it each time there's an update. Therefor he doesn't use JNGP 2.0.

The reason is pretty stupid IMO because the same thing would happen on the "official" JNGP if there was an update. Also because of purgeandfire's solution.

I see, I thought it was a more serious flaw than this. Thanks to clarify me :)

Just to offer a better solution than downgrading 3 times in version, just copy the Styles.ini file in the TESH folder to the desktop, update JNGP 2.X.X and then replace that file with the backed up one.

Do we really need an updater tool to get this solved?

Why not just make a dialog that allows users to pick the options they want ?

hey some spell when i try to open it do not open why?
that is
when i open it in warcraft3
to test map it simply do not loads

You have to save twice before clicking the test button (or save at least once).

If you even move the text cursor in the trigger editor window, you might have to save again before testing, so that it will compile the vJASS to JASS. As a general habit, before you click the test map button, just press Ctrl+S. You'll get used to it.

Hmm I never have to do this lol.

Make sure you don't have any corrupted models or incomplete code.

IIRC, you have to save twice if the map you're going to test hasn't been saved yet, or has been developed, on JNGP. I haven't had the need to save twice for maps I created and edited using JNGP, but whenever I test a map that was saved in the current vanilla WE, the struct parsing (that's the only status message I don't see, dunno why) doesn't happen and I have to save 1 more time.
