Hey I am new to this forum, and I thought this would be the best place to get some help on triggering...I am trying to modify a DotA map to visually and dynamically show unit ranges (attack, XP), draw a line to show the creep front, have a pen tool to draw. These should be visible to all players. I know I can just import a circle model and attach it to all units as they spawn, but I am looking more into a method of using dummy units so I can "add" and "subtract" shapes together. How would I go about doing this?

You're looking for something fairly complicated.

It's been done before but not any one done well that I know of.

The large number of units are created and moved so often that it is incredibly laggy and in my opinion not worth doing.

I'd reccomend importing a circle model as you've suggested or use special effects

Lets say it wasn't laggy...would I have to import a unit model to represent a line? I assume I have to find a white circle and set its transparency/color. If so where can I find it?

What about pathing? What units do other maps use? If I use a ground unit, the collision of the unit will interfere with other units in the map. If I use a flying unit, they will spread apart if they are bunched too close together, which will be the case.
