Vista Sound Recorder

Guess what? The Windows Vista sound recorder is completely useless... much more different from windows XP...actually the only option you get is start recording and stop recording...anyways on topic im trying to record like 15 seconds of a battle clip on youtube for my helms deep map but the sound recorder is so crappy that i hear un clear static and crap and i just need a solution...how can i make vista's sound recorder more ''clearer'' and make the recorded clip sound better?

Not sure if it does what you want, but I'd use a free ware program like Audacity.
