Vision Mod is quality control for Reforged that changes the models to be closer to Classic. The mod corrects failures in visuals and gameplay. Recognizable units, functional hit boxes, and consistent unit size is essential for a remaster.
Installation Guide
1. Unzip VisionMod and copy the folders inside retail into your Warcraft 3 retail folder
example location C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III\retail
2. Enable using local files in Warcraft 3. Open Registry Editor (windows key search registry editor) and find HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE > Blizzard Entertainment > Warcraft III. Click Allow Local Files and change Value Data from 0 to 1. Now it is installed.
This means the local game files you put in the retail folder will now run instead of the default. The changes only occur on you local computer, not for the opponent. Modding is 100% allowed in multiplayer.
Note that if you want to switch to Classic graphics using the menu will not work with the mod files in the folder. You will need to rename, move or delete the mod files from your
retail folder. Or you could disable use local files. If you dislike something in particular simply find the model file .mdx or the color file .dds and delete it. The game will then use the default Reforged file.
