Here's something I've been wasting some of time time on, this is a not-yet-finished story about a city trying to maintain its balance with light and evil and a young prince named Vindis led astray to a path of destruction- and death. Will he overcome his demons and save his kingdom from falling? Or will he succumb too his desires and lead his kingdom to destruction?
Note: I am in need of names. If you could drop some good names for future characters then that would be awesome! I really suck with names so I'm in need of help right now.

Vindis
The Beginning
The glowing lights, bright streets, these are all part of the city of mystique and abundance: Greenwood. The green nature of its surroundings, the laughter-filled faces of the people, and the beautiful structures surrounding it- these are only few of the reasons why Greenwood is called the summer city. In the middle of Greenwood lies a castle, where the royal family lives. This serves as the pillar to the city of mystique.
Where there is Light, there is Darkness
Castle Greenwood is home to the royal family Lancaster where King Relmond and Queen Faerah control most of Greenwood. They are the reason why Greenwood is prosperous. The King, a good listener, a kind man and the Queen, a beautiful and intelligent woman. Their son, Prince Vindis Lancaster is a name known to all of Greenwood. A handsome, intelligent, and hard-working prince of Greenwood, that is what Vindis is to the people. They are the royal family of Greenwood.
Why does the city of Greenwood prosper? Is it because of the hard work of the Lancaster family? No. That remains a secret to many. Few select royalties know of the dark history of Greenwood. The darkness surrounding the luminous city of wonders, a secret not known to the royal King and Queen. A secret only known by the young, innocent prince or so the people thought of him to be. Within young Vindis lies a dark heart and a deep thirst for power and glory.
Vindis Lancaster, Veris Winternight and Levian. They are the Circle, who Greenwood revolves upon. They made a pact with the devil’s child Evizrah who changed the once distraught city into the Greenwood we know of today. Wealth drifted by them, and changed the city entirely. This demon gave them all they could ever want, wealth, fortune, power, you name it. Guided by this enigmatic figure, they became more powerful than Greenwood itself.
Now what could Evizrah’s purpose be? The Circle never came to know of it and they simply forgot about him and returned to themselves. Until that one dark day, when the sky was filled with darkness and the moon became pitch-black. The townspeople, the whole city became dark and malignant. The laughter became tears, the beauty of Greenwood ruined. This is when the Circle had remembered everything and tried to make a pact once again to summon the devil's child.
Chanting languages not known to man, bodies, hearts, skulls and a blood-stained altar. A ball of darkness, reeking of death and horrid, Evizrah upon them once again! The Circle asked for his guidance and his help. Evizrah told them that he would make the city bright once again if they carry out his will. The Circle agreed to this and the city once again became the Greenwood it was once. Now what Evizrah's will? Only Evizrah and the Circle knows.
Truths and Lies
After that dark day, all of the townspeople had forgotten everything that had happened. They continued living in peace and tranquility, while the Circle was preparing fulfill Evizrah's will. Time passed and the moon had appeared. The time has come for Evizrah's will to be accomplished by Vindis' and his trustworthy companions.
The Circle composed of Prince Vindis Lancaster of Greenwood, Veris Winternight his right-hand man, and the mysterious Levian have started to make their move. Venturing the dark castle halls, killing the guards with ease until they find their way through the king's room.
Vindis had told the two that he will finish his father on his own. Reluctant at first, Veris agreed, and with Levian they waited in front of the king's room. Vindis opened the door to the dark room, there he saw the king and his queen laying before him, soundly asleep. Vindis drew his poisoned dagger, clenching it before his father's body, struck him. The tip of the dagger drove through his father's heart, trying to control his laughter, he was clearly mad.
Leaving his father's body, he opened the door once again. A smile struck on his face, ready to tell his men that their plot had succeeded. That is until he saw Veris', his right-hand man's body laying about. Veris was killed in cold blood, stabbed to death. Vindis' shock left him speechless, he was seeing a nightmare happen before his very eyes tried to call for help rushing to his father's room.
There he saw the king, smiling at him. Clapping his hands and congratulating him. What is Vindis seeing? Has he gone mad?
