A filter, non photoshop-using one, is just another name for a sfx. Photoshop and vrious other art programs come with special things called filters, they do certain things when used, such as blur, random patterns, create lighting effects, so on and so on.You are persecuted if you use a filter or 2 then send in a skin, its taboo because you didn't do any work.

Also, this tile is REALLY bad, I can't even tell what this is. 1/5.

This looks more like grass than stone. Don't use a filter and instead try to bring out the stone shapes themselves, as of right now, like I said, they're hardly noticeable and the filter makes it look like weird grass. Try to make little cracks and malformations with freehand on the individual stones
