A dark shadow looms over the world of video games. It's up to your favorite game characters to team up and find out what evil plagues their worlds.

Fixed a camera error on the Northern Crater
Fixed Nova Strike and Charge Shot having the same spell base
Mario & Luigi both have had major changes done to them.
Pikachu's Agility Bonus is now boosted by the Light Ball.
Nerfed the damage on Samus' Speed Booster
Lowered the damage dealt by the Virus Wave for Sigma
Remade the effects of the Crazy Soul and Angry Sword, fixing a certain exploit with Master Chief

The Crater now has some unique twists and gameplay elements. Be aware of your surroundings!
Terra's Cure doesn't fully heal anymore.
Serge's Dash & Slash has been nerfed.
Sonic's Spin Jump has been fixed and slightly nerfed.
Pipe of the Thinker has been slightly nerfed.
Sub-Zero's Animality - Polar Bear cd has been adjusted.
Pikachu has some new items.
When the Game ends, it will show the Scores now.
Megaman's Capsule no longer bugs if you get a Capsule after one you were supposed to get beforehand. You are now required to get Capsules in an orderly fashion.
Vile's Ride Armor form no longer bugs when he uses Hydraulic Punch.
Bizarro Sephiroth no longer spams an instant-kill move that is the result of a glitch occurring when he's below a certain life percentage.
Ganondorf has been buffed slightly
Some Skulltulas' Locations have changed
Stone of Agony does what it say it does
Skulltula Prize set at 60 changed slightly
Lasers now fire when the Fortress explodes.
Samus's Gravity Suit no longer provides Spell Immunity.
Some areas have new fog changes
Tome effects are now triggered therefore no lag should occur when spamming Tomes or any other powerup-related items
Stats now follow you when Cloud obtains Newfound Strength, Sonic and Knuckles get Hyper form, and Zero gets his new form

Replaced the Judgement Day song, causing various problems, replaced it with Chosen by the Planet.
Fixed a few camera problems
Nerfed Sigma's Wave Attack in half and fixed it's dummy effect not appearing
Fixed an animation bug involving Goku's Spirit Bomb
Increased the escape time for Ganon's Tower by 5 seconds
Decreased the escape time for the Sigma Fortress by 20 seconds

Removed invulnerablity Samus had during Zero Laser
Samus' Speed Booster now deals damage per second and the damage it deals has been changed to reflect this
Fixed a bug with the enterance to Ganon's Tower, where no path blockers were at the bridge blocking the player off from entering the castle until Agahnim is killed

Fixed a minor bug with Mushrooms changing certain characters sizes
Changed a bit of the Well Monster Quest in how it's completed, very minor

Goku's abilities now scale with Saiyan Willpower. The less life he has, the more damage he deals. His abilitiess have been nerfed severely to compensate
Goku's Super Saiyan form is now triggered and no longer wastes an item slot. In addition, his Saiyan Forms increase his stats by a percentage, rather than a static value
Goku's Transformation spell can now be used multiple times to shift forms instead of always jumping to his highest form. His forms will have energy usage based on the ability level, with some forms having no energy usage by max level. In addition, he can use Revert to downshift through forms
Goku's hotkeys have been changed to their former values
Velguarder cannot glitch out anymore
Nerfed Vile's laser attack and slightly reduced duration of his fire trail. In his 3rd phase, he will dash less frequently
Zero Nightmare's laser is a lot trickier to dodge now
Sigma now has several new abilities
Kamehameha now has new sounds, and a shorter duration
The patrons of Tifa's Bar are now neutral units
Fixed a bug with X's unlimited potential staying on permanently
Replaced Cloud's omnislash with a rebalanced version of its older version so it's not based off of Mana Burn

Removed the immolation effect on the Ultimate Armor and created a new spell called Nova Strike to replace it
Reworked how X's Charge Shot works, increased the damage after he gains the Buster Upgrade, and while in the Ultimate Armor X's Charge Shot is stronger
Increased and decreased some of Cloud's Limit Breaks damage depending on the skill
Changed spell bases of certain spells for Cloud to fix problems with skills overlapping
Removed the Hadouken from X's fully upgraded armor set, replaced it with the Icarus Chip allows X to perform the Giga Crash
X gains a weaker Nova Strike upon gaining all the armor parts, the Ultimate Armor's Nova Strike is twice as strong as the one X gains

Quest name: Martial arts tournament

Quest Location: Next to training area (behind it maybe)

Quest Objective: Defeat a clone* of yourself (making the game fair for all characters)

Quest Reward: Experience and/or an item anyone can use.**/***



*The clone may have to vary in level
**For a second I was thinking of items special for certain characters depending on who beat it but I realized that would cause everyone in the game to have to wait for everyone to get their items.
***In place of item anyone can use, maybe items that work for only certain characters, but not specific. Like a melee item and range item.



Also on a side not from all of this, why not make the ring quest for anyone to complete?

Lol, sorry about that, I was busy with Holiday shopping and some other "unnecessary stuff" but it will be done COMPELTELY around today if I see it deem fit for today. :wink:

updates?

possible new bug - 2nd stage and 3rd stage sepiroth (bizzaro and safer) sometimes instantly one shots everyone. you have absolutely no chance to get in range to attack him without being instantly one shot. seems like a trigger glitch. made me and my buds fail the meteor shit multiple times.

Suggestions:

•Remake option (conditions that would cause you to fail instead open up a window that lets you select whether to RM the game)

•Repick option (working from the window between when the game loads and from when the portal opens)

•Disable background music option (gets fucking annoying sometimes)

•Less Cloud items (too damn many of them)

•Master sword ability (have it do splash damage all the time instead of castable)

•Have a requirement for all players to be at the portal to start the event (retards have a tendency to start the meteor event while we are training)

•All characters should have an ability similar to Samus's speed boost (some move too fucking slow, sonic not included ofc)

•Less of that instant one shot BS (except for tonberrys that's good for nostalgia win, just for those bosses like sepiroth and such)

•Unlockable teleport to get back to fighting sepiroth (the run back is fucking ridiculously long + that instant one shot bug is a recipe for frustration)

•Personal banks in Hyrule for everyone (why not?)

•Dueling arena in Hyrule (fight your friends)

•Most AoE abilities should scale with stats (int, agi, str) at least partially to keep them effective at later levels

•Commands in the quest log (add commands to change the damn music, perhaps even other things instead of having a freaking 3 page long faq about how you don't want any beta testers)

•More items for characters besides Cloud

•Omnislash needs to be more of an AoE (see Rurouni Kenshin RPG omnislash (this omnislash makes more sense i know it has nothing to do with FF though))

•More shops (perhaps a special shop within each area? the one in meteor land is cool, need more unique stuff though)

Oh no I can see where you are coming from for most of these.

Check Points will make both the Sigma Fortress and Northern Crater a lot easier.

But yeah I'll review the suggestion a bit later and edit my post when I do.

Ahhhh, I would like to give my opinion on what I think of all that in a detailed list, but since I'm not the "Maker" of the map, I can't say much. Although, I can say for sure for most of them, they are okay ideas, some good ones, and a few are ... crap, "What were you thinking?" kind of things.

Nice job though, Davis. :grin: But i'll just say one thing, LINK HAS TOO MANY ITEMS, Cloud actually has too little items imo. Once you make Fenrir and Shadow Flare Materia, generally Cloud only has 2 items in the end. Both of them not very good later on.

updates?

possible new bug - 2nd stage and 3rd stage sepiroth (bizzaro and safer) sometimes instantly one shots everyone. you have absolutely no chance to get in range to attack him without being instantly one shot. seems like a trigger glitch. made me and my buds fail the meteor shit multiple times.
Yes that is a bug, I'm working on fixing it.

•Remake option (conditions that would cause you to fail instead open up a window that lets you select whether to RM the game)
Would be rather difficult due to most of the enemies are preplaced and will once they die they would need to be respawned though triggers.

•Repick option (working from the window between when the game loads and from when the portal opens)
Same as above.

•Disable background music option (gets fucking annoying sometimes)
Open menu and turn the sound off.

•Less Cloud items (too damn many of them)
Cloud gets the following,
Sigma Fortress: Blizzard Materia and Materia Blade.
Northern Crater: Lightning Materia, Ultima Weapon, and Masamune Copy
Fusion Items: First Tsuigi (AKA Fusion Blades) and Flare Materia.

Cloud gets a total of Seven items and he loses five of them to gain the fusion items. End game making him only have two, not a whole lot.

•Master sword ability (have it do splash damage all the time instead of castable)
I would rather not, but as a future idea I was thinking of making it always to the wave attack after each slash as long as Link has Energy (Wood).

•Have a requirement for all players to be at the portal to start the event (retards have a tendency to start the meteor event while we are training)
The crater isn't that tough (now that it check points after defeating Ultima Weapon.

•All characters should have an ability similar to Samus's speed boost (some move too fucking slow, sonic not included ofc)

•Less of that instant one shot BS (except for tonberrys that's good for nostalgia win, just for those bosses like sepiroth and such)
Most skills don't one shot, excluding certain bosses. Just deal a lot of damage the only two bosses that 100% one shot you will be either Sephiroth or Omega.

•Unlockable teleport to get back to fighting sepiroth (the run back is fucking ridiculously long + that instant one shot bug is a recipe for frustration)
Check Points have been made don't worry.

•Personal banks in Hyrule for everyone (why not?)
No need right now.

•Dueling arena in Hyrule (fight your friends)
Not on the highest priority but can be considered later.

•Most AoE abilities should scale with stats (int, agi, str) at least partially to keep them effective at later levels
Some AoEs don't scale with stats for balance reasons. Because some characters don't have good or any AoEs at all.

•Commands in the quest log (add commands to change the damn music, perhaps even other things instead of having a freaking 3 page long faq about how you don't want any beta testers)
Those FAQs are there to stop people from asking questions I've been asked many times and I don't want to answer them again. Also at this time there is only two commands in the map (one being made for the new version) and the other is unlocking the secret character.

•More items for characters besides Cloud
Already working on it, expect Cloud doesn't have a lot end game.

•Omnislash needs to be more of an AoE (see Rurouni Kenshin RPG omnislash (this omnislash makes more sense i know it has nothing to do with FF though))
Haven't seen it but the current one is fine, considering it's supposed to be based off Final Fantasy 7.

•More shops (perhaps a special shop within each area? the one in meteor land is cool, need more unique stuff though)

Just edit the staff of teleportation so it only targets allied heroes. Sell it in one of the shops. I think it could work. :spell_breaker:

Edit: Though I disagree with the idea I could make it into something more manageable.

How about instead of it being a carbon copy of the Staff, why not make it an item which you can buy in the misc shop that makes a portal in the center of town that instantly takes you to a certain point in the level. The portal would be opened up for a few minutes then disappear.

Though I personally don't think it's needed right now.

Just suggestions haha. I think that everyone would just as easily be happy with a release that includes the newly terrained goods. Also sepiroth fix please! :infl_thumbs_up:

These have probably already been suggested and aren't top priority but,

- Adding more sidequests. Maybe 1 or 2 per character. Or just general sidequests if that's easier (gives a lot of replay value :p)

- Adding a title system. Characters get a title after completing some small quests which adds a few stat points or damage. I'm not sure if this is easily implementable...but it adds a lot of replay value and hopefully it's not too difficult. Although if the title would have to be in the form of an item, then it's probably not worth it ^^"

- Not sure if this was done on purpose, but a few times when fighting Zero, the Sigma Laser killed him instead of me :p

Yeah, I can try to do a few more quests here and there.

Possible in the future.

Not on purpose, he no longer dies to the laser.

This has a bug in it.

In my opinion, I believe you should've delayed the terrain shots just a bit, maybe about a week before you think you're done. But okay, I'm not you, so I don't decide what I want to do with the map. I only request. :xxd:

It's actually pretty funny to see Magikoopas just spawn Goombas and Koopas, it's like ... "WHERE'D THEY COME FROM?!"

Ok thanks, I always thought there are many secret characters cuz I have seen Bomberman and Fox on the loading screen so I asked myself If that's an other secrets characters... So why are they on the loading screen if they don't appear on the game ?

I have others things to tell btw :

1. When next version gonna come soon ? I want try the next !!

2. I have found a bug : I picked Goku, I was lvl 6 with 140 Energy (to be super saiyen) I think, I took Ride Armor, and after I destroyed it and I earned a lot of levels (23 I think) but I always have 140 Energy, I tried to use Revert but Energy doesn't increase anymore... But after I destroyed Ride armor and earned levels with my own character, I earn energy. But I can't earn energy on Ride armor

My guess it didn't trigger that increases his energy maximum didn't work because of the Ride Armor, I'll look into a way to fix that.

As for the loading screen, Fox will be appearing in the next version a long with two other characters. Think of it as a heads up on who's next in a way.

As for the next version be released? I honestly don't know.

I'll probably have to say this once again, I do NOT want to see a user say when is it comming out, when is it comming out. You know what happens when you say that? You make the game shittier why? Cause you're giving Tat. some stress here so he'll just release the game in a crappy version and not what Tat. intentionally wanted his new version to be.

So to all of you who say when is the new version: Go read a book, play some other games and WAIT you inpatient people.

Tat. is like Blizzard they make GOOD stuff but takes a LONG time to do it, so DON'T ASK HIM WHEN IS IT COMMING OUT!

Just remember us Map Makers are doing this out of our own free time, we are not all like IceFrog and get paid for doing this. As mean as this may sound but using World Editor doesn't put food on the table if you know what I mean.

Okay, with the general lack of suggestions lately I have figured to have people start suggesting ideas they think will help the map. As long as it isn't something like the following example.

Example: "You should add -insert name- because he is ownage."

Anyway, aside from the generic people who ask me to add Anime chars to VIDEO GAME maps, if anything right now, I can provide you with some ideas I won't/can't use for my map due to map/size restrictions or something else.

Here's some ideas for some of the levels:

Generic Forest?: Other than Kamek, I think you should expand the area more, and create a boss fight before the portal to Hyrule, otherwise just make Kamek stronger and move his fight there.

Sigma's Fortress: How about due to the extreme cold outside, all allied heroes suffer like 5 damage per second when outside the fortress, especially might make Velguarder's fight a little more challenging, don't you think?

Also, I think you should probably add a tiny bit more to Sigma's fight, after all, Nightmare Zero even has a better battle than he does. Give him minions at least, or something that hits and bounces around the walls in the boss room.

The Crater: There is not much I can say, but how about two things for this area:

1) At certain points in the area, there are rockslides that fall down from the walls or something, if you catch my gist.

2) At around 5 mins, you can probably add some sort of meteorites that fall down to add realism. Similar to like Sigma's Fortress when escaping, except less frequently.

Halo: Well, Halo is a very hard area to actually think about so I dunno for now.

Hyrule Castle: Well truth be told, if this were an LoZ area all the way, then I would give you lots of ideas, sadly, since its a Haloish area, can't say much to improve it really.

Bowser's Castle Area: Well, pretty much expand Bowser's Castle more and perhaps do something about Wario's boss fight, other than that I got nothing.

Angel Isla ... err I mean ... Green Hill Zone: I think you should make an even more powerful Droid than the Super, something that at least has a chance against Eggman's droids and let them drop the Emeralds after death. Improve on Metal Sonic and the "Dark" Eggman's boss fights. Also be sure to make killing the More powerful than Super Droids mandatory I guess, Idk.

Megaman Zero's stage (Too lazy to check the stage name): You should probably make this area a little more similar to Sigma's Fortress but with a huge twist in some way (Like adding traps), since at around this point, most people get bored and add another boss battle if you can. Improve on Omega Zero's boss fight and so forth.

Ganon's Castle: Apparently, since this is the only mandatory Zelda area other than Hyrule Castle, definitely should make the Castle more enermous. For example, you should make each path to a boss fight a challenge in some way, like locked doors and you have to go through a maze/a path of trap(s) to get a key to unlock them. Also, add some Darknuts, Darknuts are awesome! :xxd:

Oooo I wanna answer these lol. Forest good idea.

Freezing your butt off somewhat good idea but 5 damage a second means 300 HP a minute which means massive healing required especially for the spellcaster heroes so maybe like 1/sec which does 60 HP dmg a minute.

Sigmar Boss Fight does have a large room that could have some kind of units I agree.

The Mako Crater doesn't need meteorites since it's a giant hole in the first place lol.

Skip Halo, Skip Bowser now to Sonic

I rather prefer that Eggman is a boss fight instead of Dark Eggman I mean it's not like Eggman was a good guy to begin with, heck Dr. Robotnik was more violent and it's the same guy...

Megaman Stage I got nothing and now for Ganon's Castle

I think a Ocarina of Time reference is at hand lol, except the climbing stairs part. Basically each floor has enemies which you have to fight to proceed I know you did ressurected bosses Tat. but why do we have to fight them again? Darknut is cool just annoying especially after his heavy armor is off...

Each floor could be a world reference like Zelda is Darknut, FF7 (Mako Crater) could be Iron Golem, Megaman X could be WOODMAN lol jk, Mario could be Bowser Jr.

Glad you liked it, currently running into technical difficulties.

Edit: Not only have they been solved now but Wumpus is finally back, currently we're combining the two versions we've been working on since his issue of going overseas. But sadly this is our final version we'll be working on, I plan on putting a download link to a open source version on my own forum so those who wish to continue from where we left off can.

We thank all those who have helped us with the map, we plan on going out with a bang to say the least.
