I imagine some corrupted models would. There are multiple versions of models in WC3, one for each model setting. By inserting one for low models (if it is possible?) that is corrupt and leaving a working one for high models then people playing with low models will crash while high models players will be fine.

Generally in this day and age you can assume everyone is playing the game at maximum graphic settings. If they are not then this is likely because they are too stupid (sadly, sigh) to realise they could be playing with higher settings as they have never braved to peek into the game settings and see that they were defaulted to low visuals.
