Yes, like all other newbie threads this one sttarts with....Hi i'm new to all this. Well I am new and i really didn't feel like going through all 223 posts just to find what might be a simple answer. I want to know how do i increase the space so i can load larger maps?

for the trouble, srry that i'm newbish

In regular WE (World Editor) there's a limit to the max map size (256x256). If you still want to exceed this amount, you'll have to use WEU (World Editor Unlimited, which I highly dissuade, because of it's major issues). I also heared that JNGP (JASS New Gen Pack) supports bigger map sizes, but I now barely anything of it, so don't take my word for it.

Either way, I think 256x256 are the max you should want to take. Usually those map sizes are already too big an they don't promise good maps. So even larger maps will probably result in big faillure too.

Well 256x256 is already big enough. I'm pretty sure that Jass NewGen can create better maps, but I don't know how to do it (Infact I barely know how to use the Jass NewGen Pack...). Anyhow, its best to stick to 256x256 at most.

srry, i just got back from a two week vacation.

What i meant was being able to possible load maps i already have that are unprotected, but it can't because errors constantly show up saying not enough space.

Not enough space ? hmm Ive seen this in old DotA maps
Its a different way to protect map I guess

so its protected quit trying
