Valiance is a series of blizzard-style mini-campaigns that take place in the hand-crafted world of Amara. I've planned to release them in faction-based expansions with the first one being Lions of Lassaria, which is based on the Elven kingdom of Lassaria. Due to my busy schedule, however, work is slow and thus I've gone ahead and released a demo to gather public feedback and see whether the users like the idea or not.

The features of the campaign series include but are not limited to:
- Customized inventory system
- Tightly-wound story with plenty of cloak-and-dagger affairs
- Challenging gameplay designed for slow and methodical play
- Many secrets and hidden areas
- Semi-open World - the quests are designed to be more modular and you can go about completing them in a random order

DISCLAIMER: My coding skills are rather poor so expect minor inconveniences such as non-skippable cinematics. As a piece of advice, save frequently.

Thanks for the feedback - I'm glad you like it thought sadly it takes too long to make a chapter currently - the first one took about 3 months due to my limited time. I suspect I may need to make adjustments to many things or flat out change my approach going forward. Otherwise, the soonest I can see this whole project being finished is the year 2020 with a 4-chapter expansion coming every 8-10 months and nobody wants to wait that long. I'm still undecided on what to do though I have a few ideas in mind currently.

For starters, I could do the obvious - severe downgrade in visual fidelity so as to move it along much, MUCH quicker. It would also be closer to Vanilla style and recapture that distinct "warcraft"feeling. Though it would come at a cost of, well, fancy visuals. Mind you, this will NOT impact level design the slightest - I still plan on including multiple solutions to each problem.

Another option would be to streamline the design - basically, make it linear and reduce complexity so as to make designing the actual levels quicker and thus save a lot of time. I'd really hate to have to "dumb down" my design values though with only 1 hour per day for this project, desperate times call for desperate measures.

Lastly, I could also simply cut it much shorter though that would mean butchering and taking out large chunks of story.

Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. I simply MUST find a way to reduce the time it takes to make a single chapter by 50-60%. Otherwise, this project is as good as dead.

Played it many hours ago. I must say the story is intriguing and the factions are well done.
Though I think camera work could be improved. Also I find the priest's model in the cinematic rather unfitting with the rest of the models, I know it is still too early but I just want to mention it lol. It has rpg style gameplay with the items and all. I like what you did with the jewels or orbs or whatever that have different effects. After I freed all the remnant soldiers, the map ended already without ending cinematic or whatnot (yeah, i know it is still an early version). Also one last thing the text in the loading screen seems too long.

I really like the campaign though it's short. I would love to play more of it.

From what I've played so far:
* Priest model doesn't mesh well with the rest of the units.
* Gemstones should stack with each other.
* Skybox is visible on the eastern edge of the map.
* Some borders don't have trees or cliffs to limit them.
* ... Did you really name one faction solely so you could use Maiev's line?

Intriguing campaign, I look forward to the rest.
