Using generic announcer? replacing internal generic warnings

is it possible to use the generic announcer? i have a custom melee map that i got an extra race which i wanted to use sounds for.
so i dont really want to repalce default announcers but there is a generic one that i could use

Does anyone know if its possible to apply that default announcer to a player? or to play sounds only for that specific player? i know i can trigger it but said player still hears the defaults sounds of the race he selected previous to having the custom race so he keeps heaing human/undead/nelf/orc sounds when researching or getting attacked instead of the custom one.
