its been a while but i have a question,i used a custom icon for a hero,i tested the map, then i thought it was totally ok then when my hero died, the icon just goes plain green, any fix?

I guess you've imported just one icon, BTNyour_hero icon. However, you should alsways import two icons per unit/ability/other stuff.
One as BTN when ability is enabled/unit stays alive and DISBTN for cases when ability is disabled/unit is dead. Similar situation happens to all other resources like upgrades ect.
So, you have to create a Disabled icon of your hero's icon, do it via any border icon program found in tools. Import both icons, make sure they got same path, difference is 'prefix' DIS in disabled icon.

I think (I could be wrong) that to import BTNs with DISBTNs you must use the standard buttons paths, which are:

ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNfoo.blp

and

ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtonsDisabled\DISBTNfoo.blp

That way Warcraft knows what to use for the disabled button. I think this is required for all buttons that have a disabled counterpart, though I could be wrong.
