what the thread title says
what the fuck
my old map was broken because apparently if you even dare try to use "alias" as a variable name anywhere, it throws a script error in your face and refuses to save the map in WE and even launch it in warcraft3

this issue was introduced in one of the latest patches, dunno which
it did not exist pre-1.29 or possibly even later

in the logs this error is reported as "unknown script syntax error", not very descriptive

bliz pls fix
@Kam

I'm interested in this aswell. You know, pjass and stuff.

interestingly enough the version of jasshelper included with wc3 also reports "alias" as an error, though it simply says "unknown syntax error"
or is that pjass that does the checking there? idk, either way, if you try to save a map in wc3 with "alias" in it it just borks
