Hello,

I want to make a unit that can upgrade itself. Its a bit like the upgrade: townhall - keep. I want to give it upgrade's that add armor, health, attack etc.
But its not possible to do this with the upgradesystem warcraft uses because that would affect all the units of the unit type.

I could use the upgradeway that upgrades as townhall - keep uses, but that would mean that I must make really dozens of the same unit wich would be a lot of work.

So I was wondering if there is a easier/better way to do this?

Use a ability and trigger.
I dont got my world editor right now so it will now look exactly as i should.
  • upgrade foot man to grunt
  • Events
  • Unit - A unit starts the effect of an ability
  • Condtions
  • player owner of triggering unit got X gold equal to true
  • Actions
  • replace triggering unit with a grunt

Yes, you'll have to make multiple versions of the unit
(or make it a hero so you can adjust stats)

You might be able to disable the hero icon that would pop up on the left side of the screen for each hero, but I'm not sure how.
