I have 2 questions here both concerning unwrapping for skinning.
My first question:
I've tried to use LithUnwrap to create a background for the skin of a model I've made, following this tutorial. The model was made in 3Ds Max, so I could skip the first steps and convert to 3Ds to immediately use LithUnwrap. The model is just made of meshes now. It doesn't have bones yet. When I want to save the image as BMP, I get a completely black image. I tried Color and Black and white, but they both give me a completely black picture. How come?
The second question:
In my model, I've used basic shapes to create the meshes and edited the vertex positions to create the exact shapes I want. Now in LithUnwrap, all groups come out as squares made of triangles. How am I supposed to know where to place what part?
For example: The head is one part, but if it shows up as a square (again made of triangles). How do I know where to draw the mouth, eyes, ears and nose?
