Unit Error

I keep getting this problem where people in my game can see my custom model unit, but others can't. One of my friends has this issue, it will display said unit as a large shadow instead of what it's supposed to be. Is there any way to fix this? Have I imported the unit incorrectly? This is on Reign of Chaos.

How did you import the custom model? There should be some instructions where you downloaded the model, telling you how to import models, along with their paths like war3imported/Model.mdx or something similar to that. Or maybe you could give us link(s) on the model(s) you used.

That is the link to the model I used. I imported them both as war3mapImported/name.mdx no skin. I then selected the unit and changed the model to the imported model.

Try following this guide. Maybe you didn't do something right in importing the model, thus shadows appearing, not the model itself.

That is exactly what I did, though my editor doesn't appear to have the option to modify the portrait field of units. Would that be affecting this? And if so, how do I find or add it in?

Only certain textures can be used in ROC. That means the model you are using has a texture based on TFT.
In other words, the model is not compatible with ROC.
(People who have TFT can see the model because they have w3x textures people who don't only see a transparent model)
