Unit Animation

How can I get a unit to play an animation when I cast a spell based off of Channel from an item in the unit's inventory, and delay the casting of the spell until the animation is at a certain point or done. I can get the spell to be delayed by using casting time, but I can't get the unit to play the animation before the spell effect starts.
 
Well, you can use triggeraction for that, or you can use executefunc to another function since it carries event responses.
