Unable To Find Sound Links

I can't seem to link AttackImpact or AttackLaunch to my duplicated unit.

According to this 'explain link' on the parent unit it's directly attached to an actor which is attached to the Damage effect.

Problem is I can't seem to find any 'Events' parameter when looking at the damage effect.

Wtf am I missing?

The events are in the Actor data entries and not the Effect data entries. The Actors use events to link to other data.

So if I wanted to create a brand new event, how would I set the event to play a specific sound on attack impact?

Edit: or would you mind creating an example for me on a random test map so I can copy your work?

I'll be duplicating A LOT of units lol.
 
Remember to modify the events of the actor so they have the nescescary links.

Modifying the events is my issue as I've never done so successfully before.
I understand the principals behind events but I do not understand how to instigate them to do something for me.

I've been looking through the parent actor and can't find anything along the lines of 'create sound' on 'attack' 'impact'.
 
Look at how the events are set up for various sound actors that standard melee uses.

Like I said I've been trying to do that, especially from the parent unit which was originally a zealot but I'm having no luck.

Edit: I created a sound actor and added an event to the unit's actor, "Unit Attacked" with a source name referencing to the unit.. and told it to create the sound actor which is linked to the sound of the weapon impact.
But it isn't working.
This is so f'ing confusing.
