Turret Items!

This has yet to become official, but a new rumor has been spread that regards the turrets. The potential patch will host items that are integrated in turrets' inventory.

  • Penetrating Bullets
    +30% Armor Penetration
    UNIQUE Passive - Dodge Piercing: Tower attacks cannot be dodged.
    UNIQUE Passive - Warming Up: Towers gain 25% damage each time they strike a champion. (Max 75% bonus damage)
    UNIQUE Passive - Heated Up: After the tower is fully heated, consecutive attacks against the same champion deal 25% additional damage. (Max 50% bonus damage)
  • Crystal Mark
    UNIQUE Passive - Crystal Residue:Tower blasts mark the target, causing the next champion spell or attack to deal magic damage equal to 5% of the target's missing health.
    Reinforced Armor
    +60 Armor
    +100 Magic Resist
    UNIQUE Passive - Backdoor Plating: Gains 150 Armor and 150 Magic Resist when no enemy minions are nearby.
  • Warden's Eye
    +1000 Vision Radius
    UNIQUE Passive - Magical Sight: Can see invisible units.
  • Transmutation Stone
    +100 Gold Capacity
    UNIQUE Passive - Transmutation: Tower blasts that. kill a minion charge the tower, upon reaching 100 gold. The next tower attack will create a sack of gold which can be picked up by any champion.

I think its better just using buff indicators instead of items. The idea of buildings having items which gives them additional abilities dont look good.
Also, there are buffs which are temporary (like early extra armor recently added against permapush strategies), and having a timer indicator like your own skills for their remaining time looks more realistic IMO

A Riot poster already confirmed that these are merely for visual effects. The "Crystal Mark" and "Transmutation Stone" items are apparently "red herrings" for data-miners, in an attempt to tell the community that they should wait until things are properly implemented instead of making silly guesses.

it would be better if they just added buffs like "matchet" said.
BUT i would strongly advice against this the way it is done at the mooment. if towers needs a boost in some sort at certain times why not make a way to give then a temporarely buff like red/blue/baron buffs.

Like if you have all high creeps (the strong Wolf/golem/wraith) down, towers would have a buff that would last for a certain ammount of time with a diffenrent power, based on what camp is down (like if the strong wraith were killed the killers teams, towers would have a stacking (if a team could kill bouth sides within the duration) 10% bonus damage, or if golems were taken they would have a 10 health regeneration over 5 seconds for some time, or wolfs could grand 15% armor prenetration.

This would make jungle invation more tempting and warding your own jungle way more important. also if you have the better game you would have an easier chance of keeping it or the lower game invading the enemy jungle could save your tower for a little while. also the jungler will have to keep his jungle down most of the time to also help his team if ganking is a problem for him.

this system i have pointed out here could make some interesting game changes but it all up to them, having towers with some sort of boost would be nice but items seems to be hard to balance enouth to be eather over powered or just another tool for when you have full build.
