[General] True Sight Upgrade Effect - Bug

Greetings!

I found a bug in my map during a game and I have no idea how to fix it.

I was on team 1 and those red towers belong to a player from team 2. He upgrades all towers with True Sight Upgrade (1 upgrade will permanently upgrade all towers). The problems was, for some unknow reason, that some of the towers just remove their overhead - blue eye effect from True Sight. I think the passive still worked, but without that overhead effect.


For enemy team is impossible to know if a tower has true sight upgrade or not if that blue eye effect is missing.

I think that bug appear if the tower enter in fog of war and then attack again or i don't know..

The upgrade works like this:
I put True Sight Ability on the tower with Requirements - True Sight Upgrade
I also put Upgrade Used on tower - True Sight Upgrade

You can Research that True Sight Upgrade from War Mill.

What do you think? How can I prevent this bug?

Not sure but you can try something like this:
  • Events
    • Unit - A unit Finishes a research
  • Conditions
    • It's your True Sight tech
  • Actions
    • Wait 0.01 game-time seconds
    • Player - Disable True Sight for (Owner of (Triggering unit))
    • Player - Enable True Sight for (Owner of (Triggering unit))
This could help "refresh" the abilities and cause the effect to appear properly. Maybe put a Wait between the Disable/Enable as well.

Alternatively, give the Units another hidden Ability, give it the same Overhead Art and the same Requirement, and see if that works. True Sight might have a hardcoded limit that other abilities do not have.

Worst case, use Unit Indexing and attach Special Effects to the Towers manually.

This bug seems to appear after a random period of time or maybe it appears only for team 2 or is something about fog of war, but not when the upgrade is finished.

I will try this idea. Seems to be very good.

What hidden passive ability should I use?

I will try Brilliance Aura ; Target Allowed - Self ; Mana Regen - 0.00 ; Art - Target - MagicSentryCaster ; Art Target Attachment - Overhead ;
Art - Target Attachments - 1 ; Position 0 ; -11 ; +same Requirement upgrade.
