This bundle is marked as awaiting update. A staff member has requested changes to it before it can be approved.
A troll egg nest/beastiary building.

Designed for my

Based on Galendor an'Kreil's Warbeast Kraal, and Ket's Murloc Barracks. The skull was taken from this ported version of HotS Sindragosa so it does use a custom texture.
All open source of course, feel free to modify to your liking. Credits to the guys I geomerged this from will do fine.

The title is fine.
It's 'Kraal', not 'Krall' (unless it was changed):

you have corrected me on an internet forum so I will flame you. I don't have anything good to say so just consider yourself flamed:infl_thumbs_up:.

Aside from that thanks for enlightening my ignorant self. I do wonder what percentage of the people who saw this thread knew that though. In any case the description and tags will probably do their jobs and help relevant model searchers in need, so I guess it doesn't matter.

I've said it before but it bears repeating: naming things in modding/design is always a delicate balance between "understandability" & "education".

I think it's totally fine, good even, for games to educate people via introducing them to new words/concepts; Age of Mythology introduced me to Einherjars & Wadjets & all sorts of other things.

However, it's also really important for games to feature resonance; concepts & words & ideas that are familiar to their audience. Tossing in a bunch of stuff like Simurgh or Seneschal or Atelier will eventually alienate much of your audience; too many likely-new, likely-unfamiliar words & concepts results in a something incomprehensible (even if more technically apropos).

"Kraal" definitely falls in that spectrum (and, to my judgement, falls a little on the 'too much' side); yeah it's a real word, and yeah it's even the ideal word for this sort of thing. Very unique, as well, which is important. But as someone with a lot of experience with Western media, it's a pretty unfamiliar word to most of that audience. I first thought it was a misspelling.

Although I concur that it's all about finding a balance, I must admit that such things as Ziggurat, Loa, Einherjars were alien to masses until media made them popular. It's all about time, I suppose.
Besides, Blizzard itself decided to add Kraals to trolls.

Well that's exactly my point. They were strange words (to you; I knew about Ziggurats at least before Wc3) until they were popularized by being used. That's "games as education".
