Finally got a chance to finish these little bastards off. I haven't quite decided how im handling item appearance and witch items are main or offhand yet so these have a few extra animations.
Stand - Is the animation played when set as the model for an item
Stand Second - weapon held facing forward
Stand Third - weapon held facing in reverse
Stand Fourth - optional item animation
To attach to a unit type "Second" in the units "Art - Required Animation Names - Attachments" field in the object editor. This will attach the weapon facing forward. Typing third into this field would attach the weapon in a reverse grip style.
Just rename animations to your liking depending on how you want to use the attachment.
Do with it what you need to make it fit, just stick my name somewhere in those credits.
Update: Added missing death animation.
