As many of you might know, there are lots of Americans who think Sweden is the same country as Switzerland. Worse yet, the think that Polar Bears walk around the streets.
As silly as this might sound, some actually believe it. I decided to make a map about this, the Polar bear invasion of Sweden.
The map will be about some of the idiotic ideas about Sweden. We are dressed up like vikings etc. That it's really really cold up here. Some people think Swedens actually as cold as Canada.
This is the trailer for this map. It's a cinematic basicly, a bit comedic. It starts 2 years before the Invasion of Sweden, when Gottland, an island that Sweden owns, was attacked by the savage Polar Bears. The valiant defenders of Gottland are trying to defend the island but can they defeat the massive Polar Bears with just sword, cavalry and guns? Remember this is year 2010, 2 years before the invasion.

The coming maps name is War of Sweden.

Fixed camera to be more epic. Polar bears move faster now and you can see them more. Fixed a typo in the opening screen.

Another rumor that is just as widespread as the polar bears are that sweds still are savage vikings. I hate that even more than the polar bears and you state in the map that Görgen ( which should be named either Jörgen or Joergen) is a viking. Come on... That was 1000 years ago!
So for the "performance" of the map... Kinda bad.
- You use only one camera angle, which results in that you hardly see the bears coming from the south.
- It's way too short.
- The environment looks nothing like Gotland (which fyi is spelt with one 't').
- Why would the polar bears come from the south? Did they visit Germany first or what? And why would they come to Gotland first?
- I really hope the other map is better because I give this REJECTION.

Who are so stupid that they think that there´s polar bears in sweden. Here in Sweden it´s way to hot for the polar bear to live. BTW the map is a verry good idea and I just want to say THE SWEDISH KING SUCKS and sweden rocks.

Ed Reborn, It's kinda the point that they are vikings cuz some ppl think we sweds are like that. I will work on the angle later today and improve the cinematic.
The Polar bears are coming from Finland who was overrunned by the polar bears.
The other map is still under devolopment and I expect It to be in beta phase in perhaps a month and a half. The real map is way better as well.
Why the came to Gotland first? If you didn't know the Polar Bears are the most strategic adept creatures on earth, and 10 times smarter than mankind. They need to assure a forward base, so that they might assault Stockholm easier.
In the map you will be able to control either different cities of sweden or the polar bears. The troops you are able to train vary from Vikings to modern units.

Yes I know, but in the description you said that the people who believed the polar bear thing were stupid, and then I open the map just to find vikings in it.
I know, it doesnt really matter, but basing this on a lie while rejecting another lie seems kinda wrong.

I come from Sweden, and you are all very wrong. Stockholm is what you foreigners would call 'a camp'. We live in huts made out of leather and pelts from all kinds of wild animals - polar bears, wolves, you name it! And not to forget, all women are blond and have huge b**bs; and they are all very willing (free of charge, unlike other countries). The men are barechested 24/7 and their frost resistance would be something around 1337 in wow/diablo. While roaring we eat icebergs to show our strength, we do this about 3~4 times a day.
No kidding people.

Updated the map with better cameras and so on. Also fixed so that Görgen can't get stuck by the other units. Also: A surprise at ending.
Chizume I know this must be tough for you to realize but most men in Sweden can eat 40 icebergs 8 times a day. But I think with training you can reach our level.

D*rn... In our village (5 tents) our best man can only eat 25, 6 times a day. I always somehow felt that in your big village (9 tents!) you must have a stronger man than in ours. I'm gonna work hard on my iceberg-eating tomorrow.

Actually most people from the U.S. don't believe people from Sweden are Vikings and that Polar Bears walk the streets, but of course I cannot speak for all people from the U.S.

And I'm from Norway, some people think it's just a plain of ice, like the north or south pole, just west of sweden o.o' (ever heard of the gulf stream???)
And we norwegians, we eat lots of icebergs and mammoths!
