Hi, I decided to make a map which is going to have a large number of units on the screen at the same time. I was thinking that after 10 years with much more powerful hardware, Warcraft 3 can´t cause any problems. So I tried to fill my map with units, just to see if it would cause any lag. While I haven´t noticed any lag in game, the problem I noticed is far more atrocious. I posted the video as it is difficult to describe the visual corruption.
I was thinking that the game is simply not made for rendering lots of polygons at the same time. Then I tried to import much more detailed Grunt model with like 2 times more polygons than the Shaman has and as you can see in the video, no distortion. I used more models to find out, that number of polygons was not the reason. Nor the texture.
Does anyone encountered this problem? What may be the cause?
