Tinting

Hello everyone..I am working on an RPG map
called Reign Of Evil.
But i have a slight problem,i want to make a immolation
power that instead of fire damage its orb of darkness
effect. So is there any way i can make immolation
a purple tint? If there is a way i would greatly
appreciate knowing it.
