Dont know about you guys, but I think that was really irresponcible of him.
I mean one day he just feels like the RP isnt like it used to be(because now other players want some space to play too >>) and instead of trying to fix that or improve the RP, our most important player just leaves us. I mean come on, its like you have a sick relative, like father or brother, but instead of helping him recover and get cured you just say that he isnt as fun and active as he used to be and leave him die.
