The War of the Elves campaign is placed in an fantasy world where there are 3 elven elven races battling for power, along with other minor races just struggling for survival. Despite there being 3 elven races, there are 4 kingdoms/factions of the elves. They are as follows.

The Sun Elves are similar to the blood elves, but are not hungry for mana or anything like that. In fact, their motto is "Peace through Destruction", attempting to promote peace by defending the offenders of the land (i.e. High Elves and Dark Elves.) They worship the sun and have disadvantages at night, therefore timing on battles is crucial.

The High Elves... once rulers of the world. Once the only elves, before traitors broke loose... they were the fathers of the Sun Elves and Dark Elves. They seek revenge through war. The worship the elven gods, and cast destruction upon the world, laying waste to it's rebellions!

The Dark Elves are powerful beings... using Dark Magics to aid them at battle. Their disadvantage is not the day, but not being able to use their spells. They wish to obliterate the world to rule with the highest power and authority for the demon gods they worship. They pillage and plunder, only destroying small settlements... until now. They have amassed armies of great capability, and have called upon the daughters of the Darktitan to end the war once and for all, sealing t he world's fate.

The Sun Elves have 3 divisions, seperated by different beliefs. The first is Qual'Adiil, center of power for the Sun Elves. Qual'Adiil also worships the sun fanatically. Qual'Adiil contains the Sunbowman, Sunsabre, and Sunslayer. The second is the Regiment of the Chaotic Sun. They contain Crusaders, Savants, and Knights. The last is the general armies, containing Phoenix Archers, Bronze Cavaliers, Hammerhire Mercenaries and Sunservants. Overall they have 10 soldiers. Two bowmen, Six Melee, and One Caster, being weak in magics.

Unlike the Sun Elves, The High Elves boast an organized army. They have the Craftsman, Swordsman, Archpriest, Militia, Outrider of Justice, Horsemaster, Shieldsman, Horse, Longbowman, Hawk Rider, and Mesmer. Total they have 11 soldiers, but one is a horse that can be combined with the Shieldsman to make the Horsemaster. One bowman, Six Melee, and Two casters.

The Dark Elves are highly divided, but their magic binds them. Their armies consist of Artesains, Necromantic Druids, Eredar Netherwarriors, Glaive Warriors, Dragon Maidens, Gemini Incarnates, Rangers of the Night, Darksorrow Disciples, Panthers, Armored Spearwomen, Daughters of Darktitan, and Glaive Pantherriders. They have 12 solders, one being a panther and able to combine with Glaive Warriors to make Glaive Pantherriders... however the Panther can attack. If you consider Glaive Warriors bowmen due to range you have Three Bowmen, Six Melee, Two casters.
