i need ideas to make spellbook items, (of course abilities for spellbooks), 3 abilities for spellbook.

I already made one:

Spellbook of the dead:

Raise Dead (reduced mana cost), Sacrifice (death pact, but restores 50% of the unit mana and 150% of the unit life, has 35 seconds cooldown), and reanimate (reanimates one corpse for 60 seconds, animate dead style!, 30 seconds cooldown)

Tome of Arcane Power

-Arcane charge-
PASSIVE: you gain 1 charge ever x ammount of seconds. Max x ammount of charges. Each charge increases mana regen.
ACTIVE: Release the charges dealing x times ammount of charges in a y times charges aoe. Target type: unit. Using this will deplete
your charges.

-Mana Storm-
Deals x ammount of damage every second in an aoe and reduces the movement speed of the units in the area by 30%, also burning 20 mana to each unit each tick.

-Unstable elementals-
Calls 5 uncontrollable arcane elementals that will attack your enemies dealing 20 damage per hit. The arcane elementals explode after 5 seconds dealing 75 damage to all units in a 150 aoe around them.

Apprentice Magi's Spellbook

Intended to give beginners in magic a solid grounding in the elements, this book contains weak spells to limit the dangers of inexperience.


Fireball: Throws a fireball at the target, dealing damage and stunning it. (Weak firebolt)

Poison Gas: Creates a small cloud of noxious gas, poisoning units which breathe it. (Creates a Disease Ward at target location)

Tremor: Causes a localized earthquake, slowing units caught in the radius. (Earthquake with smaller radius, no damage vs. buildings)

Cleansing Water: A stream of water greatly charged with magic, removing foreign magicks from the targets. (Chain Dispel with less targets)

As all these abilities are weaker versions of existing ones, manacost should be lowered accordingly.

Book of the Spider

A book used by non-arachnophobes who want to get the job done.

Multiply: Summons 10 spiderlings, each has vampiric attack and slow poison.

Web: Immobilizes target unit; flying units can be attacked as if they were ground.

Jump: The wielder "teleports" to target unit and deals 3x normal damage, stunning the attacked unit for 2 seconds.

Unweave: A horde of spider-like minions appear, webbing and consuming all units in a large radius. User must avoid the AoE lest s/he be killed.

These are fairly weak, standard abilities. Nothing special.

Tome of the Other Dimension

A well-known and deceased explorer's log of his encounters with creatures and anomalies of other dimensions.

Riftwalk: The user warps through dimensions to arrive at their desired destination. Teleports the user X distance.

Void Portal: Summons 3 Voidwalkers for 40 seconds, which drain the mana of their victims.

Dimensional Disaster: Gathers the force of all creatures in the void and decimates all enemies within 700 range of the caster for X damage and stuns for X seconds.

The Guide to Manipulating Ki

Written by a karate master from the planet Earth, this book, with the author arrived on Azeroth when the old man perfected super speed. Unfortunately, the master was then eaten by a wildkin.

Super Speed This technique lets the user ram through all opposition. Moves unit almost instantly to point x, while knocking back and dealing damage to all units who are in the way.

Ki Wave This technique lets the user manipulate ki, or in this case, mana to create a destructive beam of energy. Fires a beam, dealing x damage

Bukujutsu With this flying is possible!!!!

Zanzoken By moving quickly, one can create afterimages of himself. Creates mirror images

Power Up Learn to manipulate ki to power up! Increases all stats

Book of the Seven Thunders

A tome compiled by a mage obsessed with the secrets of the Storm Giants, and their terrifying ability to control lightning.

Ball Lightning: A single orb of electricity is hurled at a target, dealing damage and stunning it. (Firebolt / Storm Bolt with the Farseer missile model)

Thunderbolt: A bolt of lightning strikes the tallest unit in the target area, dealing damage around it and stunning the targeted unit. (Cast in an area, but directed on the tallest unit, be it friend, foe, or doodad.)

Galvanize: Lightning strikes nearby corpses, temporarily returning them to life to fight again. (Animate Dead, non-invulnerable version, with a lightning effect on each corpse.)

Monsoon

Chain Lightning

Forked Lightning

Lightning Shield

Whenever a spell is cast from this book, the user is engulfed in electricity, shocking both friend and foe (Caster automatically gets Lightning Shield buff on self).

Play a large "rolling thunder" sound whenever a spell is used.

well, really i was meant to do some melee spellbooks, nothing overpowered. That looks overpowered, howerver it can be used but i´ll have to make some balance

Ill use this! but ill take out the trpoison spell (it is a disease spell), and i will add mana drain to the dispel power

I have a better idea about this:

Web

Parasite

Widow Poison

and a passive:

When the holder dies it spawns 2 Dark Widows, they have Widow poison (in my map spiders have a special poison that increases the damage oversecond, example the spider poison deals 2 damage per second, the same spider attacks 3 times, it deals 6 damage) Spiders have a fast attack speed but a low during poison. Widow poison will deal damage and slow movement

In my map, damaging lightning powers purge the principal target, so your Lightning ball (renamed Thundering Bolt) will have a purging effect and a low damage.

Lightning Shield.

Thunder of life (galvinize renamed), will revive an ally. Cooldown 40 secs.

Riftwalk will be allowed, however it will have a 25 secs cooldown

Teledestruction: Deals 150 damage and teleports the unit to a random point in the map, can´t be used on heroes.

Dimensional Gate: Allows the creation of a portal for the transport of units. (Way gate), takes 1 min to destroy the portal. (the portal haves the destroy portal ability, and can be used by allies and enemies)

THe poison gas was supposed to represent the Air-elemental spell, but can be replaced with a shorter-lasting Cyclone.

Also, I object to the the Thunder of Life name; Galvanizing referring to applying an electric shock to dead tissue so it twitches (think Frankentstein), only looking like it's still alive (hence Animate Dead). Thunder of Life would be better suited to a Ressurection spell with the same SFX (or maybe call it Defibrillator).
