The SC2 Marine

Meh, I was bored and had 12 hours to spare, and this is the result.
A brand new nice and HD Marine from Starcraft 2!

Marines are the standard frontline infantry of the Terrans, from the universe of Starcraft 2. They were former convicts, and are masters of adaptability and survival. You don't mess with a Marine.

Skin heavily modified, Marine model minorly modified, and added a custom portrait.
Also, if you've got some space to spare, you can download this HD skin and import it as 'MarineNew.blp'.
Its got a heavy Team-colour suit of armor, and this model has an internal portrait.

The skin can be used on any other Marine model with the same wrap as the original, and I give full permission for you to edit, distribute, CnP, whatever, so long as you give me credits.
Might be making an Infested Marine soon.

Enjoy, give some feedback, rating and criticism. Shut the f*** up, I know it's not Halo.

-GhostThruster.

UPDATE 1: Minor edits to the helmet, removed a little black bit at the back.
UPDATE 2: Removed back lights, Ganondorf enlargened shoulders.
UPDATE 3: Fixed up portrait, Pyramidhe@d added proper Gauss Rifle
UPDATE 4: Remade portrait, fixed up its crash bug
UPDATE 5: Changed portrait into Human face, fixed up some minor things
UPDATE 6: Brought back old portrait, added those reactors at the back, thinned the legs

Took me ages to re-make the skin. I would have submitted it by itself, but i had to make some minor changes (this also tells you the differences); converted head into helmet screen, added alot more team-colour, added portrait, raised the gun, edited some materials, removed some useless geosets.

Please download and rate.

It's a rather nice model, but there's just something about it, it looks like.. Too epic than a marine when i play sc2 :p But it's nice :)

The skin's good, but the mesh's... just OK. I know it is just the war3 marine skin edit and mesh "Fix" (If it really is, I can't see it (Besides the "mask")). You could edit the shoulders and torso to Look a little more "Starcraft 2-ish". I'll upload my edit to this post so you could see what I mean.

Oh, and can we expect a War Pig model?

I don't play SC2, and never will.

well if you have played, you'd notice that the marine is a lot different than that blocky war3... thing

but this is not about the crapload of polys the sc2 marine has, it's about the details, which are; totally different shoulders, elongated back part, which kinda looks like a hump, with two (let's say gas burners, in absence of a better word :b) and most important, no overhead lights.

now.. the model itself is very cool, but it should be rather called "pimped war3 marine", and not a SC2 one :p

Very nice, I like the skin, its WAY better then the standard Blizz marine :D But for the portrait I think it would have been be cooler if you made the helmet half open like in SC, so that you can see their face. But GJ anyway ;)

Hell, it's about time. Pretty nice quality, thus I'm not interested in futuristic models, but one of the best marine models that I've ever seen.
My Rating: [4/5]
Something doesn't feel right with this model...don't know what.

Good texture right... but something little bit dislike is perfectly made in Critter/Marine why don't you try to make a their own node or add some new animation too. Most of the models here is only a simple units in warcraft III only modified by textures or fixed geoset points but their animations is like the animation of a regular unit in the game. Whatever you done it well good model, greatest modified marine I ever seen from now. 4/5
