The icons in my world editor subwindows are oddly placed and cramped

I have seen this a few times but it usually went away, now I'm confused and want to understand what is happening. When I open a window to change a target unit in the object editor (which units the unit can build, or whatever), all the icons in that new window are all off to one side and the drop down menus on the other side.

Super weird, I don't know what causes it or what, but it's becoming deeply distracting.

Try disabling the display scaling-related options in your Windows, and make sure that your World Editor executable file doesn't use modified DPI options.

I can't remember where those settings are located, but some peoples have fixed this problem by making small changes related to DPI in Windows.

It's a bug that came with one of the Reforged patches. You'll have to rely on Rawdata mode to avoid it -> Control + D. At the very least it forces you to learn how to work with Rawcodes... silver lining.

Well, I think it's one of the issues that Reforged users encountered on the latest patch where all Unit-Type fields in World Editor are completely broken.
But some people also complained that it's a Windows problem, more specifically the DPI settings, where larger texts can completely mess up the sub-windows for World Editor.
Anyways, your info regarding the Unit-Type bug really helped all.

It happened for me when running the game simultaneously and I had the feeling that it happened when a lot of memory was used. Closing and reopening the editor helped for me.
That's pretty obvious if you're talking about higher RAM usages when both Warcraft III and Editor were in presence, especially with Reforged graphics.
If you used the Classic graphics, the memory usage will be slightly reduced than when using the Reforged.
You probably need a higher memory (32GB, to say at least) and powerful GPUs (like RTX graphics card) to use both game and editor with Reforged graphics flawlessly.
