Well, if we take Buildings wont like everybody reskin the night elf buildings, bcuz you have to agree it is funniest to reskin a unit that actualy can move and has animation. (Like the Night Elfs trees)

maybe something like: texturing 1 hero into another (like it has been already done for 2 deathknight packs at wc3c)
I guess the difficulty with is that you should be able to recognise what hero you have chosen, but on the other hand to add creative elements to it as you will be pretty limited in some way.

But at the end you, the texture artists, have to decide your theme :)

Innovative, yes, but zombies are so much more fun. Bleeding sores and everything, yeah!

Nature's just gonna degrade into one of those 'dump leaves on everything' type things, like the naga comp was 'dump scales and fins on everything'.

But zombies ... man, you could dump peeling skin on everything!

How about this... I think it's a great idea. Cartoons/Toys. Yeah, that can be creative, colorful, awesome, random, funny and neat. Something like that 'Arthas' Clown skin, or that crazy-toy-something 'Troll Shadowhunter', or teddy bear 'Abomination'... or maybe a theme, Circus/Toys, or something else related.... so, what do you think about this?

Well, here are my thoughts on the poll now that I'm almost done wrapping up the last texturing contest.

I'm not hosting a texturing contest were units get turned undead, that approach to skinning has been overdone, or at least needs no encouragement.

Buildings seems like a good idea, their could always be more building skins. I'd extend this to encompass doodad buildings as well.

Nature seems rather vague, If this was the contest theme I'd change it to something more like the naga race skinning contest but centered around the night elves, with their beastial companions, the treants, and the elves themselves it should offer the full spectrum of nature themed units but with a more interesting approach that is easier to get cool contest-header images for :)

We just did futuristic so we're not doing modern warfare, it is essentially the same thing, at least anything that fits modern warfare could have flown in the last texturing contest.

I have no idea what magical would be ?

Cartoons/Toys/Circus/Holiday stuff sounds like a pretty interesting idea to me, given the support and the lack of time that option has been available, and the upcoming holiday season, I'd consider this option.

I'd say either Night Elves+Nature or Toys+Holiday Stuff will be the next contest, whichever seems to gain more support after this post. Considering both of these themes have a strong selection of buildings to work with (and buildings didn't do terribly fantastic in the poll) I'd like to keep the discussion between toys and nature.

I vote cartoon/toys, because I'd really like to see how warcraft models will look as toys. Nature is overrated, most of them'll just become trees.
