Felt like sharing some crap that I've made for WC3, but never finished. These skins will, probably, never be completed, but it's fun to share this peice of shit. I'm not a huge fan off "skinning", but sometimes it's kinda fun and that's why this Theard lacks of textures. But if you feel like it, check by once in a while!

Older stuff that has Survived - 2009 and Earlier

This was the year I had my tablet, and I merely used it and please don't ask why. Anyway, the most of the stuff I made back then, and earlier, is sadly gone. Newer Stuff - 2010

Just got started again, somewhere in May, and here's the new crap. 1024x1024 Magma Gnoll Played a lot of Heroes of Newerth lately and was inspired by the Hero Magmus, simply. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Time Spent A couple of hours, more than 8H including a lot of YouTube-, Hive- and dA-ing. Status Some tweaking left. Extras Fixed a wrap, May 10. Concept was made with Traditional Painting and I don’t own a scanner! 1024x1024 Gnoll Treant An old idea that I tried on "Tauren Warcheif", sucked to bad back then and never finished it, but gave it a try agian. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Time Spent Was sick today, May 10, and have been since May 7 and I had nothing to do. Spent the whole day on it, including a lot of YouTube-, Hive-, dA- and some gaming. Status Far from done. Need ideas for the face and how to create proper moss, they both lack of details. Extras Wrap and Concept coming soon..! Like now, May 10. The concept is for the "shield and arrows" on the back, but I can't fix it on the skin... 1024x1024 Serpent's Den Inspired by "Druids of the Fang" from World of Warcraft. Was made for Texturing Competition #17 __________________________________________________________________________________________ Time Spent Dunno how much time, but an few hours with heavy YouTube-, Hive-, dA- and some gaming as always... Status Still at an very early stage, with other words, far from done. Extras Concept coming soon..! Wrap killed my "fun time" with this, by the way... I hate the Graveyard wrap even more than the gnolls...

How long have you been drawing "skins"? A: Back in 2007 or maybe it was -06, don't remember correctly. Why don't you share textures here at the Hive? A: Hmm... I don't know... I just don't think my textures are good enough.

B) It's not true, I see potential in your art.

Well, I don't know my own style yet
(Everyone has a style, even if they don't know it)
I can't draw fruits, people or animals.
(The hardest stuff to draw IMO, maybe plants as well)
Yet I've been drawing my whole life. But very well, deleted.

im just curious about the wrap of the hammerfall icon. can you show us a screenshot of its skin wrapped in the portrait?. im just curious about how it will wrap on the face

wow, i'm surprised that the face wrap will look that good.
only thing i might suggest is adding more color variations. he looks monotonic ATM, he jus have lighter and darker tones of the same colour. other than that he looks pretty cool.

BTW, i know hair, book and hammer is still in progress.

Hehe, I'll see about that Ampharos.
Not sure I'll finish any of these skins to be honest.
Texturing is just a fun thing to do, for me at least
