Terrain Help?

Some terrain I made is attached......yes it's noobish, please tell me how I can improve it; this terain is not actually for a map, it's just for practice.

Could you save the file as .gif or .jpg so we don't have to download the image just to view it?

I downloaded it and I get an "invalid" error... I usually don't have problems with tga, so...
