I'm trying to get the left corner to look like the right corner.

See the 2 dips on the left? Is there a way to fix it? I tried copying / flip paste the right corner, didn't work.

EDIT: Well, turning on the grid, the right looks like the left :/ I'll have to test with a unit walking on it.

EDIT2: Tested it with a unit, he walks up and down on both smoothly, like the right shows, but grid shows different, strange.

Enable the small grid and use the smallest brush for precision work. Be very gentle in general, proceed a few clicks at a time.

Really the only advise I can give you, it isn't that much of a bother if you're just patient. Or if you'd favor an experiment in hopelessness, dejection and anguish; go nuts with the noise tool :p

Happy terraining.

If the problem you have is that when you use a square tool, the two sides of the elevated ground seem different in the way that one side is more jagged while the other is a bit smoother, then that is, sadly, a problem I have yet to see capability of getting fixed. As far as I am concerned, that's just one more fucked up thing we terrainers have to deal with. I'd advice using doodads to cover up the difference.

And... Everything flad said.
