INTRODUCTION

In the world of Azeroth, a new and terrible threat has emerged. A dark creature known only as the Fallen Star has emerged as powerful, mysterious entity, possibly an Old God, and has twisted the world into a living hell. All undead are now under it's control, and Azeroth is consumed by a terrible blight unlike any it's ever seen. The skies are black voids. The seas and rivers run red with blood. Insanity and bloodthirst consumes even the meekest of men.

But even in these blackest of hours, a glimmer of hope remains. Perhaps, Light be willing, these straggling survivors may yet uncover the true horror behind the Fallen Star, so that they may challenge it's evil in a desperate attempt to save this world.

But how could they defeat such an evil? Six, lonesome souls against the power of an unknown entity? It is a fool's quest of suicide. But still, they must try. The lines between the Horde, Alliance and any other faction that has made petty war unto each other blur as these men and women take on the burden of saving Azeroth, for the fate of the world rests upon their shoulders...

Your shoulders.

So come, brave souls, for your journey, and your fate, shall be woven into the Tale...

The Tale of the Fallen Star...

OVERVIEW

Tale of the Fallen Star (TotFS) is a dark horror/survival RP, in which you take on the role of one of the few living souls in this world of death. While it is set in the universe of Warcraft, it is entirely non-canon to official lore and is not to be used in the actual game of WoW. The RP is mostly run by myself and Zazalock, though it was originally created by Zazalock and he is, therefore, the main owner and DM of this RP.

We will (hopefully) be running multiple “campaigns” of this RP, but there will probably be no more than five-six survivors during one run. However, let it be known that death is death. No refunds, re-dos or returns. The only way you can play your character after he/she's been offed is if you choose to join the ranks of the Undead, in which case you will be barely sentient and will have to work against the remaining survivors. There will be no exceptions to this.

Also, let me stress something...

THIS RP IS DARK.
DARK. DARK. DARK.
If you have problems with dark, gritty and mature Roleplaying, kindly escort yourself back the way you came,
While you may have a character who has a comical or light-hearted side to it, the overall theme of the RP is DARK.

RULES
- One character per person per campaign. When your character dies, possibly twice if you become one of the undead, that's it. You are out. Come back next time and hope you get chosen again.

-No Special Freds. You can have a perfectly unique character, that's fine! Encouraged, in fact! But while it's sometimes fun to bust out a half-elf half-fairy one-eighth-god dragon princess, it doesn't really fit the theme of this RP. We want characters who would actually struggle to survive.

-Once the survivors are chosen, a posting order will be set up. Unless someone drops out, is killed, lets us know ahead of time they will not be able to post for awhile or some other good reason, you cannot, under any circumstance, break the posting order. You wait cha' turn!

-That being said, if you do not post for a week without giving us good reason why, you may be kicked out of the posting order until you return, or maybe even kicked from the RP and your character killed off. Try to be active.

-No undead survivors. I'm sorry, but -ALL- undead on Azeroth are effected. This includes Forsaken and Death Knights. No exceptions.

-While we obviously will not just be like “LOL YUR DEAD NOW!” It will technically be up to us if your character is killed off. Don't worry, you will always have a fair chance of saving your character.

CHARACTER SHEET

Okay, you know the story, you know the Rules, you're ready to make a character. This forum will be dedicated to coming up with the survivors, aka you guys. There will be five people chosen and then I, myself, will make a survivor. Zazalock will be the DM. So be prepared for your character to be “rejected.” And don't worry, this will not be a “first come first serve” policy. We will approve characters based upon which we like best, how well they'd fit together in a group, and how good of an Roleplayer we think you are. Also, remember, if your character is rejected, you can always save it and bring it around for the next run.

SURVIVORS WILL BE CHOSEN ON DECEMBER 23RD.

Here is the basic template for a character sheet.

Name: Nythhlia Dawnsinger

Race: Night Elf

Class: Archer

Height: A little bit shorter than the average.

Weight: Average

Eye Color: Light Blue

Basic Appearance: Usual night elf archer appearance but a little shorter. Torn cape, well-made bow, long dark violet hair with a streak of silver and a scar on her right cheek.

Backstory: Nythhlia is a kind and an active night elf. However, made and grown by her mother whom she never met and her father who died in a war, Nythhlia learned to be a lone, ruthless and speedy killer and a survivor all by learning it herself. She lived in the outskirts of the city where she was born of but always visited the city to meet old and new friends.

One day, when the heavens fell and hell rose from underground, Nythhlia managed to survive and was able to find a safer place deep in the woods. She could hear shouts and screams from the distant city, and as she was heading towards the city to help, she was cut off by a horde of undead that were somewhat acting more vicious than usual. She managed to fight back and eventually escape, however, she suffered wounds that are deep enough that it can never fully heal. Now, all Nythhlia has been doing is moving from place to place, avoiding as much violence while trying to find out the cause of the trouble.

I've roleplayed a little bit on other forums and here in hive too. I tend to make short replies however, I try my best to put as much effort as I could in each replies.
IMO, consider me as a noob. I haven't been doing this in a heck of a while. I just want to try roleplaying again. ^^

EDIT: added the back story. since this rp is not rooted to the lore of the original world of azeroth, I do hope I don't get hates for my awful back story. Made while I'm deprived of 5 days worth of sleep so, I'll just improve it once I get some rest. ^^

Level of Experience: What can I say? Pretty much average, I am having also an RP On Kaelicious so got a little use in it. Though my bad side is that there are times I tend to ruin the RP because of being Mary Sue.

Level of Experience: Wow, it was many years since I last played, last time I guess was with my father and his friends for about half a decade ago and even then I didn't play too much. My style is pretty much the one I have in WoW, a high elf fighting to protect her family. My main in WoW is a Death Knight though and since I can't use him I'll have to make him into a sibling out of respect for the character who has been my portal to Azeroth since 3.0. Another relative would be Shan'dor the high elf mage. My activity should not be questioned though.

Name: Dalnia Bloodmist

Race: Quel'dorei

Class: Paladin

Height: Average

Weight: More muscular than avarage.

Eye Color: Blue

Basic Appearance: A narrow face with the appearance of youth on it and wearing long silver white hair. Clad in judgement armor with the golden rising phoenix that is Silvermoons sigil embroidered on the chest.

Backstory: During the battle against the scourge Shan'dor joined the Sunreavers in Dalaran and took up studies in the arcane ways. After the Lich King had been defeated Dalnia left the Argent Crusade to get a permanent position in Dalaran to be with her family. Soon afterwards their older sibling Aros Bloodmist left the Knights of the Ebon Blade for the same reason.

Little transpired for the sibblings during the years of the cataclysm since the siblings all remained in Dalaran during the time and made few expeditions outside the city. During Jainas betrayal Shan'dor was taken into custody by the Kirin Tor. Dalnia had found out about Jainas plans and warned her brother Aros who togheter fought and slayed all standing between them and Shan'dor freeing their youngest sibling and bringing him back to Silvermoon.

During Lor'Themar Therons expedition to the isle of thunder both Aros and Shen'dor joined the quest, Dalnia however was denied to her refusal to take in the powers of the blood elves. She did however find her way onto a Shado-Pan ship that had the isle of thunder as its destination and helped her siblings out in secret. After all taking part in the battle against Garrosh the three siblings retired to Thunder Bluff where they lived happily, untill the appearence of the fallen star.

During this time the mysterious new foe took controll of all the undead including their brother Aros who faught against his two siblings almost killing both Dalnia and Shan'dor. After a long and bloody battle Dalnia managed to disarm Aros but as she was about to deliver the final blow she hesitated. Aros took this chanse to knock Dalnia over and fled into a Death Gate fleeing back to Acherus leaving his axe Bryntroll behind. After persuading her younger brother to stay in Thunder Bluff she took on the quest to find a way to save her brother.

As clarification, I get it that being undead is not allowed except when evil. However, what about manipulating evil in the style of warlocks, necromancers or some arcanists?
Also, are "abilities" allowed? It would be something slightly broader than they are in WC3.

That's actually a good question Xonok. To be honest, I'm not sure if Zazalock had given it much thought, I'll have to talk to him about it.

But I'm afraid we did not get enough people signed on and it's the end of the sign-up phase, so if a moderator could close and/or delete this thread it'd be greatly appreciated. If anyone's still really interested in this, we'll be starting a new thread on the WoW forums for it in the next couple days, so keep an eye out :)

That's too sad considering that I'm not subscribed to WoW between the period between any final patch and new expansion once I've cleared the final raid and experienced all of the story, so I'm unable to actually join you.
