Stuck on an island with 5 others

1. What type of Government would you set up?

None, why would five people need a government?

2. What would be the things you would do within the first week?

Find food, water, shelter, etc.

3. What would all 5 persons jobs be?

1. A doctor, 2. a cook, 3. a hunter, 4. a builder, and 5. anything useful.

4. How would the situation change after a year, if never found?

More people, better shelters, etc.

5. How would the community be after 30 years and no rescue?

A massive city would form on the island from people who shipwreck of plane crash nearby. The island would have everything anyone would ever need.

If a massive city was made and you had no government, wouldn't it be a very chaotic city?

massive city i'm gussing in structure wise, doubt population would be that high, unless 4/5 was female and each had a baby every 9 months for 30 years... ewww very loose... anyways, they would mainly be family anyways and may argue, or feud but mainly be friends.

There are two kinds of people: Leaders and Followers. Leaders rule over the Followers, who in turn serve dutifully. Apparently, we are in vast majority of leaders, rather than followers.

Why would only 5 people need a parliament? Also, you have no "army" and one person does not get much "construction" done.

Im sorry, I really want to elaborate further on whats on my mind right now concerning the possible outcomes of this scenario, but Im far too lazy >.<

Regarding the last two questions..

If we are allowed to determine their fate then the first 3 questions are baseless and unecessary. How can we be realistic about human behavior? Maybe they kill each other and the last one standing kills him or her self. Or the second day they are on the island they all are rescued so the island stays it's natural habitat without human interference. So, @ InfinityNexus, the "possible outcomes" are infinite and thus a waste of time to even be considering them for serious talk or debate.

I don't see how being God has anything to do with government class :/

Send a Search Party of two 'round the Island to search for food. Make primitive wooden spears + shields at 'base camp'. Do the woman in the group (well, if you are deserted on an island and you're pretty sure you're going to die...)

I dunno, we'd have a few kids thoough, that's for sure.

I haven't read all the posts, but what is the point, if you don't get found you will all start inbreeding, destiny of everything alive, and die. (Inbreeds are weaker). Thats all I wanted to point out.

cheeder ur thinking too deeply man lol. it was a simple question, i probly should have elaborated and expanded upon it for the purpose of this thread. But I didn't lol, it was like a thing we did for one day, and hour and a half. Don't have to go buckwild on the subject, i know and thought of everything ur saying about it, plus more, the teacher explained how we didn't need to think too deep lol.

Maybe if it was like a college assignment, after questions need to do like a 10k word essay XD

Inbreeding does not create weakness, it compounds (or perhaps accumulates) weakness that is already there. If there were theoretically a brother and sister with perfect DNA, so long as it didn't get damaged they could inbreed until the end of the world and their family would be okay. As a matter of fact, every god in the Greek/Roman pantheon was inbred.

yes but it also builds strengths up too. and with 5 ppl and if 4/5 was female, than you would never have to fully inbreed, have a soon he gets old enough he can have sex with one of the original 3 other women, hoping they weren't old when they got there.

Everybody are equal, they propose ideas and become like a councel where a vote has to be casted to see if they would be accepted

Kill the guy/girl who resists the idealogy, gather food, find a shelter, gather water,gather supplies, reproduction ^^ and try to reach civilization (e.g. attract attention of ships, planes or throw bottles w/ letters and hope some1 finds it)

-Builder
-Assassin, in case someone tries to do something funny then byeee byee also
here to protect the rest of the community against wild animals and everything
-Food Gatherer/Cook
-Water Gatherer
- Supply Gatherer

Well, the population would have been higher, hoping theres a hot chick w/ the 5 pips

The 5 first pips would have already killed themselves out of frustration and letted their descendants alone ^^ OR all the ressources in the island have been depleted and every pips is dead

well if you were on an island with 4 other people, some guys some girls, for 30 years...and it stayed as 4 people, i would be pretty surprised you know, if you catch my drift.

If I dislike the others, or they slack, I'd become hermit, other wise..
The Government would some form of council, with one member with a fraction more power and respect. This person (head of council?) would have only slightly more power, they have the right to speak first (in serious discussion) and their opinions carry slightly more weight than anyone else's. Head of council is voted into position, or through circumstances, becomes head of council. All decisions ideally should be unanimous, but majority vote is acceptable.

2. What would be the things you would do within the first week?(Check priorities)
A) Scout the island, search for sources of food and water, areas where shelter can be expanded upon (or built from scratch e.g. free standing, not supported by trees.)
B) Obtain food and water
C) Build shelter and fire (if necessary)

3. What would all 5 persons jobs be?
Varying, depending on individuals talents and likes. Fixed jobs would increase proficiency, but some jobs such as gathering would become tedious quickly, so job rotation of non-specialist jobs would be logical. To begin with two people would continue to modify the shelter and two people would gather food/water. Fifth person does one of the above according to need.

4. How would the situation change after a year, if never found?
After a year everyone would be accustomed to island life or would have given up living. Some sort of farming would have been implemented, multiple shelters would have been set up.

5. How would the community be after 30 years and no rescue?
Similar to one year mark, only better.

Chances are rather high that at least one of those extra magically-appeared-out-of-nowhere-*wink*-*wink* people would be dead, and buried. Either that, or the female that made that person magically appear. So, effectively, you would not have much chance of having more than seven or eight people.

You wouldn't do everything that you say you would do, you would not kill another human being. If someone disagrees with you, you banish them and then they come back just begging to do your bidding, when they get hungry enough.

And by the way, here is what some girls wrote to me about this:
"1, Democracy
2, Explore the island, try to find a good place to build a shelter
3, Gather food, water and wood
4, Everyone is used to what they are doing, and therefore do it better. Developing more advanced buildings, better survivial etc.
5, Most of the people will probably have died of sickness"

well we would need some kind of entertainment, assuming this island is the traditional coconut paradise (because coconut husks are boyant and have been spread across the world due to sea faring people dropping them into the sea where they get washed up on shore at anther location, possibly this island) then i would hollow out the husks and make some sort of xylophone and jam it up on the beach.
