Intro
This map is going to be a little success, at least I think so. I got the idea from a internet flash game and it has pretty much similiar stat system as warcraft and i was playing the game and really enjoyed it. The link is here: Stick Ranger. I got very interested in the game, i was always thinking of a warcraft version and i thought it could be a pretty easy task, and a pretty good thing to do. But for that I need a team to develop with. All item icons will be taken from the actual internet game, and resized into Warcraft 3 icon size. All stats and things will be accurately taken from the game. In the future events there will be balancing changes from our side also, only after we finish everything that the game itself contains.

Specialty
System
-Custom type of hero management. Every player who will be playing this map will always have four heroes to use. These four heroes will not have any special skills, but the items will have the skills. The level up points will be distributed amongst important strategic stats, like health, agility, strenght and intelligence. Stages are another special thing. When you want to get experience you dont just go and kill monsters. Here you need to enter a stage and kill there. Completing stages will be a 1 player thing, there will probably be a few stages that reguire more than 2 team of players. (1 team 4 heroes).
Heroes
Starting from six different heroes, but you ca only pick 4 heroes. You can also pick multiple same heroes, for example boxer/boxer/boxer/boxer. When you level up you gain 2 Stat Points (SP) to waste on stats.

Boxer. High speed average damage, melee range.
Boxer is the most high speed having character and a middle tank unit high damage dealer. With a good combination he can do crazy damages.

Stats

Gladiator. Average speed, high damage, low range.
Gladiator, is the best tank in the map. He has high damage and high health. Also has a cleaving attack around him for a low ammount of range.

Stats

Sniper. Average speed, high damage, high range.
Sniper, also can be called as a ranger or archer. Is a high damage dealing unit with great range. Is a very useful part for the team.

Stats
196985-albums3965-picture37136.jpg

Magician. Low speed, high damage, average range.
Magician, also is a damage dealer, who can dish out damage to many targets at once or slow the enemies for a more efficient defence.

Stats

Priest. Low speed, low damage, average range.
Priest is a buffer, offering valuable defence or attack aura. Also has a few staffs granting him spells that can benefit your team.

Stats

Whipper. Average speed, average damage, low range.
Whipper is a great debuffer or a damage dealer. He can dish out great area damage in a small time.

Stages going to be included:

196985-albums3965-picture37141.jpg

These stages are all made in the game, and i am going to name the stages in the map the same. Every stage has 1-5 different monsters. All monsters have different items dropped.

Currently Recruiting:
Triggerers
2D artist
Spell Makers

Current Team
Eldubs: Project leader
Does many things, makes the units. Balances the map. Works as the main betatester.

EternalWow2010: Terrainer
As the terrainer his job will be critical for the map quality. The terrain wont probably be anything special as the map is not about the terrain, its more about gameplay and the style.

Aslit Spell Maker
Aslit is one of the important persons, making the spells is vital to the map and needs to be made accurately.

We can always take more people to work on the map!

Thanks for the encourage, i really like the flash game. You actually need a sence of strategy in it. As the way you assign your stats and combine them with the weapons you can make a decent pvp team that you can use in the game. Theres the pvp mode thing in the start.

Pretty good that your interested. I can assign you as a spell maker, because i am going to make the units. But everybody can suggest models for the units. If i set you as a spellmaker that will be very good we will just need a triggerer.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I doubt this project need very advanced triggering. Even I as an intermediately skilled GUI triggerer could do this. As long as they're efficient and don't leak, simple GUI should be fine.

Question #1: Will there be any Save/Load?
Question #2: Have you gotten allowance to use the original game art/icons?
Statement #1: A cool addition would be to get your hands on a classic Stickman 3d model and attach class-specific weapons.

Question #1 answer: Yes there will be a save load, you cant complete a big game within a few hours.
Question #2 answer: No, but is this important? I can get the allowance i think. Will be contacting now.
Statement #1 answer: I am not sure yet, either i will get a stick model, and when you pick up a new weapon you get it as a model on your character, either i will make ready models (not stick). This is still undecided.

@ Question #1 answer: I guess you have a point. It would indeed suit PvP well. Load your teams and unleash your stickmen in an epic duel!
@ Question #2 answer: I do think it is important. Especially if you plan on uploading it here.
@ Statement #1 answer: It sounds like you've got it figured out. Time will tell :)

I believe other are more suited for the task as a triggerer, my skills lay in the art section. Plus I have some projects of my own right now. See me more as a devoted supporter. Also, please spell my name correctly.

About the terrain, I'm not sure what you are after. It's just squares on a plain map, but I guess it's a good draft for the stages. Depending on what atmosphere the game should have you should consider what tileset you're using. Lordaeron Summer is Very playful, while Ashenvale would be the more serious choice. Don't forget to eventually mix other aesthetically compatible tiles and possibly imported tiles with each other.

i think lordaeron summer suits the best, as the java game has grassy lands and water, also we will need to import sand or something. Its all still undecided and suggestions are welcome.

any idea so, we start when full team?

First of all we need to decide what kind of terrain template we are going to use for the stages, theres a picture i made thats 1 of the things we MIGHT use, no sure deal yet.

First, there is a Sand tile. Modify Tileset > Use custom tileset > Additional Textures > Sunken Ruins > The fifth tile from the left is Sand.

Second, you should put those zones further away from each other. Then add boundaries around them. As for the gameplay, you can use fade in/out filter and write a game message like "Act 1; Stage 2", for instance, to get an epic atmosphere.

That can be added, and dont worry, there will be cliffs between those ares, i am not stupid : )

I just want to be sure what kind of terrain template we are going to use before we start making the map, because if we will need to change the thing in the middle all done terrain will be useless.
