Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4 GHz Processor $175 to $279
Intel Core 2 Quad 2.66 GHz Processor $274 to $452
Intel Quad-Core Xeon 2.4 GHz Processor upgrade $1,270 to $3,228
Yea.Real cheap.

Yeah, a 2.66 Quad is a fucking beast. You can do amazing things with that, and it's still cheaper than a 360, starting at $300.

You would never buy a Xeon. Never. That's a server CPU dude. So get that bullshit out of there because it's not making you look informed. It's making you look like an idiot trying to use false figures to support your illegitimate argument. Gratz.

A 2.4 Quad is plenty good for todays toughest gaming requirements. Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Processor BX80562Q6600 - 2.40GHz, 8MB Cache, 1066MHz FSB, Kentsfield, Quad-Core, Retail, Socket 775, Processor with Fan in Canada at TigerDirect.ca

There's one for $260.

I edited and you posted at the same time :p

But you don't. So that's kinda BS. The hardware on a PC will always outstripe that of a console. It depends what you're looking for.

As a hardcore gamer, you wanna be able to play the latest, the best, looking the best. With a console you just want something that will last a few years before being replaced.

It does but there's no reason to buy one. Without a harddrive the 360 is pretty crippled.
I almost wish I had saved my $100 and bought an arcade instead. I don't use the HD for much. Music? iPod and stereo. Videos/Movies? Gametrailers and my DvD player. Demos? Well those are nice, but I could forgo them.

I use it for fastload, I have my most-played games saved on the harddrive. I use it for all my savegame needs, and then all the downloadable content.

Legendary map pack, bonus things, these all take up quite a bit of space, a lot of space actually, and I love them all, so an HD is necessary for me.
