how does it work?

example (200 * 50% / 70 ) is thats how its done ?

Do not write what you think it can be or what you though it was or what you think it does.

Do not post something that is irrelevant to this post.

50% means it is 50% of the damage the main target is taking.
70 means 70 aoe. (area of effect)

Thats it

50% of the damage the main target is taking

main target takin 120 damage from the bearier of the weapon with splash damage (50%), targets within 70 aoe of the main target gets 60 damage

How are you not getting this.

If you hit a target for 200 damage and there is a target within a 70 aoe cone in front of you, the secondary target will get hit for 50% of the damage, which is 100.

LittleTim - 70 there means the Area of Effect AKA how many targets near the main one will be hit based on the distance between the main target and them. (which means that every unit within 70 units from main target will receive 50% of the damage the main target takes)

E.g.

Main target takes 200 damage from your attacks.

Every other enemy unit within 70 units around it will take 50% of that, which is 100.

Is that clear enough?

It's completely separate, I'm not even sure where you're getting that 200 example from. The splash is there to allow a Berserker to cleave. With a talent they can hit up to a maximum of 3 enemies with one attack which is much more helpful than it might seem for gathering agro from multiple targets.

Basically, you have your main target taking your full damage (after armor and armor penetration are applied) and then your secondary target takes 50%, half, of the damage the main target just took. I'm pretty sure there is no armor penetration applied on the secondary target as the damage they receive is 50% of the damage you just applied to the main target.

The 70 means an aoe of 70. However this is in a cone shape directly in front of the berserker, you obviously cannot cleave behind you without turning around.

One point on what Krotos said, not every target will be hit. Only one extra target will take damage unless you have the beserker talent which allows for a third target to take damage as well.

dude, that "/" is just a slash to separate those two attributes of splash damage. That "/" does not mean that 50% will be divided by 70 or something equally wrong you though about. Just like people above have already said, [50% /70 ] means that your splashing damage will be 50% of original damage (50% of the damage your main target receives will be felt by another enemy who stands in 70 AOE)

Got it? xD

...... ok my bersker has 200 damge that where im getting my damge from

main taget hits gets hit for 200 damge

2 side targets get hit for 100 damge not including armor resists

and 70 aoe meaning anyone in the cone shaped area of effect can be hit with in melee range ?

2 side targets within the 70 aoe cone ONLY if you have the talent on the Fury Talent Tree. Pretty sure its on the Fury Talent Tree.

Without the talent, its one extra target within the 70 aoe cone.

whats with all this cone thing?

for me, it simply means,
anything within 70 aoe radius of your main target will take 50% damage. (1 target)
with talent (additional 1 target)

I feel the cone is an easier explanation and it would take zwieb to explain it in all honesty because there are times where shit just doesn't cleave unless it is standing pretty much under the berserkers arm. It may be around the target, it may be withing a cone shape as I suggested.

Confirmation is needed by zwieb ty ty

Dude, why the fuck would you delete all your posts just because your question was answered? The idea of a forum is that other people who probably have the same question as you can read your answers...
Il restore them if u dont mind...

lol muzzel i wanted too but i figured the conversation looks pretty nice that way

It hits only one additional enemy within 70 range of the *target*.
No cone-shape here, it's a straight circle around the target. I figured it made more sense to make it like that instead of taking the berserker himself as a reference (this means that when enemies are not standing close to each other, but both close to you, you will only hit one target).

In fact, the actual range is more like 100 instead of 70. I figured 70 was a little bit too small, so I increased the range somewhere in the design process. I could have changed to tooltips, but was too lazy to do it. It's not like anyone could measure it anyway...

One another side note, the enemy hit by the cleave effect is not random. It always hits the closest enemy to the target. The additional target hit by the talent will hit the second closest enemy.
