this is another animated statue from the melee altars.
artsy-fartsy lore:
imagine that the spirit of the elders for which the altar was made found the situation to be critical, and in despair took control of the golden monument of their own altar as a medium to manifest their will (and their wrath) and protect nature and birds and trees and whatnot. and at this moment the night elven elders and their monument are one. :>
those bird particles were just an experiment of mine and aren't included in the model here. if anyone wants the version with the birds, i can send it.
technical stuff:
i didnt add a hero glow to this model because i dont think it fits. and it has no good spot for teamcolour. (it would totally ruin the fact it's all made of gold, and its kinda of a campaign unit, not really dependant of teamcolour)
but there's a version with teamcolour here.
mesh, anims and wrap are scratch made. texture by good old blizzard. i made this one with a transition from the altar of elders :>
all you should do is inserting this model at an offset of -50 at X and -100 at Y at the moment the altar dies, and replace one for another maybe..
art - walk/run speed : 100
art - cast point : any value you prefer between 0.500 and 1.000
art - death time : 3.333
combat - damage point : 0.333
i made a different kind of portrait to save filesize. it uses the stand anims but only shows the hero glow in the talk animation.
little update: fixed internal name
i shall remake the altar of storms one pretty soon

This is a really cool idea. It's a little like Chriz's Bone Crusher; animating (parts of) existing models separately to make their own models.
Not sure I have a use for it (and unfortunately, like the Bone Crusher, the part of the model is classically Warcraft-esque (i.e. poor in details), but keep it up!

ya know this actually is a good idea, makes me think of a potential good idea of using this kind of thing, such as you sacrifice the ability of having more heroes, but in exchange you have a powerful single hero.

This is very good and nicly model, and of course the birth animation is so big, but.. I think this model need a stand alternate animation when he standing the altar like a statue. But ofc great job! 5/5
