Hold shift, double click, release shift, input your level. You can do this in almost everything that concerns numbers that has some limit. You can also do this to input negative numbers.

It is NOT recommended to increase a spell's level higher than 100. Heck you shouldn't increase any spell's level to be higher than 50 because:
-it will greatly increase your map's loading time
-when the hero learns that spell, it will make the game lag or worse case scenario, your computer will hang.

If you want to have something that can be upgrade that much, better use multiple spells with 10 levels each. Once your hero's spell level reaches 10, replace the current spell with another identical spell with levels 11-20, and so on. I'm not sure how this will affect your hero tho, I haven't used the WE in a while.

About the loading time, note that the levels themselves do not increase it much(it's just 1 number, which is cheap).
Numbers in general, such as critical strike chance, are all cheap.

Tooltips, descriptions, names, unit IDs are the expensive stuff and those should not be used much.
