Hello im currently trying to make a rpg and i was wondering what kind of spells people think is cool, not just attribute*xx right?
So if anybody got some ideas please post them GUI ONLY if they are hard please write a short message how i can do it :grin:

Theme?

It would be good if you were to specify a theme...but i will give it a shot:

Illusionist
A light melee hero that confuses and dazzles enemies.

Examples of abilities
Decoy - creates a decoy that has the taunt ability, and that also has the same model as the hero. This would be simple - edit serpent ward to have taunt and no attack and change model to whatever.

Mirror beam - summons a powerful beam of magic that damages the illusionist and his target. Base off chain lightning, remove bounce, change lightning effects to drain mana.
Trigger:
Unit begins casting an ability
Ability = mirror image
Set (life of casting unit) equal to the (life of casting unit) - 100*
*change as appropriate

Confusion - causes a targeted enemy to wander around aimlessly for a set amount of time. You could use triggers to give the target 'wander' ability.

I like some cool effects and sence in how the ability is done.

Here is a few things that i want to see in a spell:


[+] Must be leak-free
[+] Good Special Effects
[+] History of the Spell (how you got it)
[+] Good Tooltip Information
[+] No lagging even if there was 20 times cast at same time
[+] Not to complicated
[+] Not to long tooltip!
[+] Spells must have a cool effect that supports each other
Example: Fire Breath + Drunken Haze = More DMG and Slow = Imba

Here is some examples of spells:

Flash Attack

The Rogue strikes extremely fast and deals X damage on the target enemy unit, the target will be blinded in a few seconds, making its next attack miss.
This also increases the next attacks damage by X.


Flawless Strike

Strikes the target enemy unit with a perfect attack move, the target will bleed and take X damage over time. Also every attack on the target will damage X% more than usual. (Supports Flash Strike's next attack move).

THIS IS JUST EXAMPLES!

This is how i want to see spells in a RPG! Hope it helped :)
