I figured an overhead would be a good idea, though it seems that was a bad choice. What sorta camera you suggest then?

On the plus side: I have an awesome idea that just came up!

---COVER---

Certain areas in the ship will cause great defensive bonuses or great defensive reductions. These areas, known as Positive and Negative cover, will allow the Terminators and Genestealers to gain some advantages over the tides of enemies on both sides.

Cover is mostly to be found logicly- large, empty rooms with no cover will more then likely cause Negative cover, but areas where debris, crashed starcraft, and rubble from the meteor layer are abundant, you can probably find positive cover of variable degrees.

There are three layers of cover-

Light- Light areas are places where there's enough junk to hide behind, but still enough areas people can avoid the targets. Grants +3 Armor
Heavy- Heavy cover is areas that are very defendable and are often remains of defensive positions or structures by the previous owners. Grants +6 Armor
Negative- Negative cover reduces your armor, as you are left in the open and are much less defendable. Denotes -3 Armor

Started advanced terraining, and plan on the Genestealer Spawning tomorrow, hopefully I can set up a good way of doing that.

use this tileset instead of that horrible tileset you are using.

oh and btw, if anyone could tell, the above tileset is a Copypasta of the space hulk game board. every single detail. its a CnP. but just shut up and use it. cos its perfect for this map

For your information, that tile was slated for this allready :p

EDIT: Actually, found better ones at W3Campains, will use those

NEW INFO---

First off, we has HEROES! And a lot of them nows.

-Imperium-
Space Marine- Abilities not set
Venerable Dreadnought- Not entirely finished
Hellfire Dreadnought- Not entirely finished
Furioso Dreadnought- Not entirely finished
-Chaos-
Night Lords Raptor- A fast melee unit with a long Blade. Can deal with several light targets easily with Whirling Dervish and Meltabombs, and also can dodge attacks and deal more damage via the Dance of Death. Also has a jumpack he can use to speed away from targets faster then walking, and is able to halt targets dead with a Bolter Legshot
Death Guard Terminator- A slow heavy unit with a Reaper Autocannon and a Powerfist. With the Autocannon he can reduce groups to bullet fodder, and with the Powerfist he can pound strait through armor. Also has access to various Plauge-based abilities, including the vile Nurgle's Rot.
Thousand Sons Sorceror- A master of the magic arts, the Sorceror has access to both a Infernal Bolts pistol and the Staff of Change, whos touch can cause enemies to burst into Spawndom. The whims of Chaos protect him, making shots miss as blasts shoot out more damage, and his various warp powers allow him to do massive damage. He also has the Sight of Chaos, allowing him to see beyond the materium and notice Infiltrating units, such as the Stealthsuit and the Broodlord.
Defiler (May wind up secret hero)- Not entirely finished.
-Tyranid-
Broodlord- The big monster. Rending attacks, Synapse to aid other Genestealers, Infiltrate, Flesh Hooks, the ability to eat corpses, a random-based Parasite that causes a flood of rippers and add the fact he's rather fast. Very very messy.
-Secret-
Necron Warrior- Hidden in the remains of a Tomb Ship mistakenly believed as part of an alter to the Machine Spirit, the Necron Warrior is death incarnate. Slow and plodding, the machine warrior will Phase Shift around the installation, using it's Gauss Flayer to break apart the enemy. It's been also known to release multiple Gauss blasts at once, self-upgrading itself and it's weapons, coming back to life repeadedly, and calling forth it's master the Nightbringer. Oh, and his weapon can wreak anything. This is all fair and legal.
Tau XV15 Stealthsuit- Not entirely finished.
Eldar Aurtoch- Not entirely finished
Space Pirate Lord- Heavy soldier made for tearing apart solo targets. With Grenades, Mini-Rockets, and the ability to call forth more Pirates for his side, the Space Pirate Lord is a support hero, assisting the side who finds him for the right price of Booty...

---Creeps and Enemies---
-On several of the cover sections of the map, several Space Pirates have held up over the Tyranid attacks, but more then likely will break soon under the coming swarms. Pirates are currently devided into:
--Light, with Flak and Bolter equipment
--Medium, with Carapace and Bolter equipment
--Heavy, with Power and Bolter equipment
--Incendiary, with Carapace and Flamer equipment

---New Combat Tree---
Hero attack is now Flamer attack, dealing enhanced damage to most infantry armor, and severely reduced damaged to Terminator and Vehicle armor
Chaos attacks will now do slightly reduced damage, but will do almost even damage to all types, including vehicle
Siege is now Power, and will do enhanced damage to all armor types, including almost double damage to vehicles, Terminator armor, and Tyranids. Consider also that Power weapons are all slow weapons to compensate.
Most standard Bolter weapons will do greater damage, but will be slower.
Hero armor is now Specialty armor, reserved for special style heroes, like the Stealthsuit.

And included with this post is the new texturing to the map. Though the editor doesn't show, the walls match the texture at thier edges. Also, the one ground-textured room used to be a 'real enviroment training area' for the troops that were here before. I'm toying with making at least two more of them, perhaps to each side of the central atriums.
