I've been struggling with various functions of my RPG campaign I've been working on. I've been using map transitions which I've sort of got a good grip on from reading Mtlhead's tutorial which let you bounce back and forth between maps by reloading maps you've already visited. However, I've noticed recently from roaming around the RPG that many things get tweaked after you reload a game. For example, I have a certain sound variable set for when I enter a zeppelin and it "flies" me to another map. All I changed really from Mtlhead's tutorial was that I told it to play a sound variable, fade out, and wait a few seconds before commencing with the transition properties 'just a fun little extra thing I added'. The weird thing though is that, the sound I input was a TinkerPissed3 sound variable and for some reason it works when I first leave the map and come back, but if I try to leave again then it plays a different Tinker sound variable that I haven't even pulled from the list... Cannot figure out why. I also have units set on ramparts of buildings via invisible platforms which work at first as well, but after reloading the map they fall and get stuck inside the building like the platforms just vanished or something. Does anyone understand the editor well enough to explain what is happening when I reload a game and if there is some fix for this? I would think there would be one because you can reload Blizzard maps and campaign levels and stuff and I haven't noticed anything screwy there so I'm hoping there's a fix somewhere.
