Oh yes, now that you are saying, it seems to be gone.

May I ask what was causing it ?

I can still re-create the issue when entering the forum index.
It occasionally does not occur, but most of the time.

I experience this kind of issue when visiting Hiveworkshop.
It is majorly the forum index, but smaller forums, like Warcraft III, do freeze, too, but shorter.
Now and then the browser also freezes when entering a resource, especially maps and spells.

I am confident it is not my network. Users reported this issue as well when using Firefox.
Chrome seems to work fine.

Well, for me myself only Hiveworkshop has a moderate up to bad performance.
Other sites usually only delay initial load, but then run as smooth as water.

I moved from Internet Explorer to Chrome, then back to Internet Explorer,
then to Firefox, decided it does not run better, back to Internet Explorer,
now finally to Firefox which does run better.

Not lazy, but tired..

You might want to give Pale Moon a try. I use it everyday.

Not all Firefox extensions are compatible with it.
See what I use daily for my own needs

Opera is more or less the same as Chrome and Safari as they both use a fork of Webkit.

This site may load more slowly than modern sites because of its table design. This is replaced in XenForo.

On 1 Go RAM PCs, Opera Next was nice until v29, because it required less RAM than Chrome. So you could use at least a few extensions. With Opera Next v30 and above, I believe the memory requirements are now the same as Chrome.

Not sure current Opera Next version can show VR Videos on Youtube properly. Chrome can. Pale Moon can not, because it focuses only on the most important (and properly finalized) features.

Never had a problem with the Hive in Pale Moon. Thanks for the great work, Ralle.
