I plan on adding waves of enemies that you have to fend off, more upgrades, and the ability to claim land and expand your economy. Buildings generate resources over time.

That's an unplayable tech demo.

  • It needs a multiboard to display your resources, not texttags near the buildings. It's nice that you know which things produce which resources, but all the information should be instantly accessible without moving the camera around.
  • In that vein either a 'resource update' timer window or some sort of visual display on the ground by the town center needs to exist so I know how long I will have to wait for my next round of resources.
  • Whenever an upgrade affects something other than the building that researched it, that object should be pinged. IE: ping towers when they're upgraded by their Garrison. I couldn't figure out what things did what unless I was watching the texttags change.
  • Locusted peasants walking to and fro would add a lot of flavor.
It's interesting. Do more.

That's much easier to process. I know it's just a demo, but the economy you've set up so far depends heavily on Equipment... but there's no way to increase the rate at which you gain equipment because there's no way to increase the rate at which you gain ore OR increase the ore conversion rate. The mine needs a couple upgrades.

I've put a lot of resources just for test purposes. The way expansion works is that once you claim land, you need to defend the town hall in the middle. If it gets destroyed, you have to reclaim it and buy the upgrades all over again. The Infantry blob is for testing the reset.
