Hey. Been a while since I did any JASS but have had a few ideas and was looking for a bit of guidance. For starters, I was wonder what the best way to basically add a temporary buff which affects the stats of a unit.

What I was figuring was that you could add a spellbook which contained a dummy aura ability with a custom buff to add the sfx/buff, create a custom ability based off an item ability, then combine the two in a spellbook. The buff lasts until a removal condition is triggered or a timer set expires, and then the spellbook is removed.

I'm wondering if this will work, and can be used with other buffs etc. that affect the same stat but are not from items. I was told that say if you have two abilities that affect the same attribute they will not stack.

I remember seeing a system where a guy used a passive to increase a stat (no idea which) by 1/2/.../100 and a second one to increase it by 100/200/.../1000, and combined the two to get precise results. Or use 5, each with 10 levels for each digit. But it's basically the same as the above after taking a look.
