The spells are really nice. I especially like the lighting-thunder-something. It has nice effects.

I decided to give it 1/10 5/5.

Well general leaks are removed, I can't help if there are leaks language(GUI) related, it's impossible to avoid them. Even Jass has leaks that you can not remove.

You can't you must swap between them by opening both maps(each at a time) and then you go window->select a map you would like to open (without "closing" the map you are working on)

My thoughts on this Spell Pack.

[+] The Spells are completley leakless.
[+] Some of them are really creative.
[+] Descriptions of all spells are easiliy understandable.
[+] The map is not just a hero surrounded by some mobs, but you have spent time on making a mini AoS battle.
[+] This spell pack includes a simple item recipes sytem.
[+] I love the shrine!

Got two nice spell ideas in my head:

-active no target, increases attack and movement speed, also gives a chance to deal double damage while the ias and movement speed.
-active target unit, blink strike spell with some secondary effect, not sure what it will be :> Thought something like blinks to targeted unit dealing full damage, and then by chance blink to random unit in area dealing half amount of damage. So blink to main target and x% chance to blink to another target.

The bat ting is that I'll have to learn hashtables again, because I haven't triggered anything a bit more complex for ages.

Ok, got 3 new spells almost done, you know the usual polishing, tooltips... But I think I'll include some more spells in next version only 3 spells sounds too little

But remember my spells aren't omgfbbqwtf coded, i just make them useful for map makers, simple ideas, simple execution, yet pleasing spell effect. So I think x)

so to the spells... that hammer from the screenshot, there is also a spell from SSMC#20, and Berserk ability with some side effect.

um could you explain the dummy things to me? im looking at them through object editor what is special about them and how do they work in the spells?

Dummies are units that usually don't use any model, are immune to all damage normal/spell. their function in game is to cast spells, or in some cases they are used as models so that you can scale/change coloring... of the special effect. But as i said their main function is to casts spells e.g you want spell to cast 15 storm bolts on one unit, you simply create 15 dummies give them storm ability and they will cast it on targeted unit.

Why am i getting a "map has been saved witha more recent version of the editor" when opening it with Jass NewGen Pack 5d? My game is on 1.26 and my newgen is 5d with the latest jasshelper.exe ...

I wouldn't know about JGNP since I dpn't use it, damn I don't even use WE anymore. Thou It works with 1.26. So its mostlikely JGNPs problem.

My aqua burst spell dont work. I copied all triggers to my map and the Aqua burst spell. But when i use it in my map, there are no effects and no damage are made to the mobs. What am i doing wrong ?

I guess that when you coppied everything (trigger, buffs, abilities)... trigger got messed up.
search for the line(in trigger) unit - order unit to do seomething that do something is a name of a custom ability which got messed up, reconnect it with the correct ability and it should work.

*this happened because you copied the trigger first, while you should copy object editor data first (abilities and buffs) so when you copy the trigger first it cannot locate the ability so it simply picks the random ability.

So simply check the original code in spell pack, and than look at the coppied trigger in your map you'll see to what ability the trigger is connected to.

Hmm.. i see nothing about this spell that could go wrong, except this line

• Set Aqua_Burst_Ability_Level = (Level of (Ability being cast) for Aqua_Burst_Caster)

make sure you have the right ability in there. everything else should copy right.

Well "knocktable" is just a variable name... umm give me a minute, i must open the map for this one.

Ok, first make syre you copy these two lines in your initialization trigger

• Hashtable - Create a hashtable
• Set KnockbackTable = (Last created hashtable)

do this first before you coppy the spell trigger

and this is it, then everthing should recconect by itself.

your scond question how to make hashtable.

just this and then you can play with it, but don't ask me that thing is tricky and even i don't know how it really works. basicly it gives some sort of index to stuff that you define and then you can bring that value or something that you saved in hashtable by calling its index in some other trigger.

initialization trigger, is a trigger that runs first and it should contain the imortant stuff of the map. You should also have only one of this trigger.

Now, as I said copy those two actions from my initalization to yours. then copy the main spell. Make sure that this looks like here:

• Hashtable - Save KnockbackSpeed as (Key speed) of (Key (Target unit of ability being cast)) in KnockbackTable
• Hashtable - Save KnockbackAngle as (Key angle) of (Key (Target unit of ability being cast)) in KnockbackTable
• Hashtable - Save KnockbackDistance as (Key distance) of (Key (Target unit of ability being cast)) in KnockbackTable

Also this will be disfunctional

• Trigger - Turn on KnockbackUnits <gen>

leave it alone, you'll get to that later.

Now copy the second trigger. Here make sure that these actions look like this:

• Set KnockbackSpeed = (Load (Key speed) of (Key (Picked unit)) from KnockbackTable)
• Set KnockbackAngle = (Load (Key angle) of (Key (Picked unit)) from KnockbackTable)
• Set KnockbackDistance = (Load (Key distance) of (Key (Picked unit)) from KnockbackTable)

These lines will go red

• Trigger - Turn off KnockbackUnits <gen>
• and
• Trigger - Turn off KnockbackUnits <gen>

click it and hit ok

now go back to the first trigger search for that dsfunctional line,

• Trigger - Turn on KnockbackUnits <gen>

do the same click it and hit ok.

Well this is it, I cant be more specific.

*Since you said you're new to all this take a look in tutorial section, there are some really nice tutorials about importing spells and ofcoures all about wc3 moding.

i have copied all your spells into my triggers. I dont understand why i have to copy paste this:

You don't need to copy them again, just make sure the the tezt is the same. And no, I won't copy the spells, because i left wc3 moding behind long time ago.

ION Cannon spell issue.

I cant get rid of the Carrion Swarm Art... The laser beam appears but so does the Carrion Sworm... How to remove the swarm from the spell so it wont appear when casted ? I have tried to remove the missile art but it seems that the trigger re-applies the Carrion Swarm all the time.... How to fix it ?

Go to the original carrion swarm spell in object editor, and clear the effect there, its a WE bug. Somehow the effect of the default ability appears ona all custom spells using carrion swarm. see how its done on my map.
