Show stacks on an ability via trigger

Is there a way to show and increase "stacks" on an ability via trigger, without having to import numerous different button BLPs and manually cycle through them

I never heard of something like this, but if it is only for one ability, you can even use the "Moon key" icon, which is already ingame and 3 dummy abils. This icon naturally has 3 stacks.

I know this is not the answer for your question, but it would be at least an "import-less" possible workaround for your solution specified.
